RE: from The Athletic - Bengalfan4life27c - 09-16-2022 Besides for the big Mixon run. 3rd and 4th and short are still a serious problem. Some of it might be play calling some of it is the line, A dominant line can bail out play calling though. It just put us in a tough spot when Carman didn't play well and got covid so we had to start a rookie. Volson also played much better in the 2nd half and a lot of it was against Cameron Heyward which is very encouraging. At this point we can afford this loss, a long way to go is an understatement. We have 5 more AFCN games and lots of AFC games to right this ship. We will see how we bounce back, expecting it to be big with Burrow having such a terrible first half, Zac and Brian's poor play calling in the playbook and Trey Hendrickson matching up against a raw LT this Sunday. It is setting up nicely for a big day for both of these phases of the game. ST's needs to step up though. Dallas still has a formidable ST's group and we had some bad plays on ST's against the stealers. |
