It's always been like this, though. Elite companies in various industries have always provided top notch amenities and the state of the nation is irrelevant to that, frankly. Google employees, on top of their very healthy salaries, have nap pods and free lunches provided to them daily for example. Hell, the company that I work for allows us to work fully remote and takes us on two vacations per year - a fishing trip in Arkansas and somewhere international (usually Canada, Mexico or somewhere tropical). If I were to leave and go somewhere else, these perks would undoubtedly be gone. If I was tasked with giving a report card, I would also probably rate that new company low in those categories. This reminds me of the scene in Money Ball where David Justice (traded from the Yankees to the As) tries to use the soda vending machine in the As clubhouse. He can't figure out how to get it to work and then realizes he actually has to pay for the soda. He really wasn't upset; it was more so just eye opening to him. He mentioned it to Billy Beane (As GM) and when Billy Beane is negotiating a trade later in the movie regarding one of his players, he wants the other team to throw in "stocking his soda machine for a year" with the player hes trading away. Always found that funny and it actually reminds me of stories from the 90s Bengals players - how they had to bring their own towels for the showers, own gatorade, etc. RE: New locker room too - Truck_1_0_1_ - 02-29-2024 (02-29-2024, 12:03 PM)KillerGoose Wrote: I feel like I have seen you complain about this for several years in a row now. I'll just say this amd then leave it alone. Players would do well to listen to what MJ said when he came back from 1 year at Tampa Bay. RE: New locker room too - pally - 07-29-2024 The new look locker room will be unveiled on Tuesday RE: New locker room too - Luvnit2 - 07-29-2024 (02-27-2024, 03:38 PM)Nate (formerly eliminate08) Wrote: And as Pally said, the players have tablets as their playbooks now that have to be charged. Let alone having functional shitters lol I suggest the add charging station by the shitters. They can charge, learn and crap for productivity. RE: New locker room too - masonbengals fan - 07-30-2024 That is sharp. RE: New locker room too - Soonerpeace - 07-30-2024 They didn’t need to make it that incredible. But they did so kudos to the Browns/Blackburns they way did above and beyond. It's like Katie and Troy are the opposite of Mike Brown and, instead of doing the minimum, they do the maximum! I wonder what all it has that we couldn't see in that video? TVs? Gaming systems? I LOVE THIS FRANCHISE! RE: New locker room too - WeezyBengal - 07-30-2024 They did an incredible job with this - the details are amazing. Couldn't help but think Tee is walking around thinking "shit, doesnt even matter to me - Im out of here after this year" lol RE: New locker room too - pally - 07-30-2024 JoeyB got his own fridge and microwave
RE: New locker room too - Joelist - 07-30-2024 Nicely done! Note they are going a space at a time and doing full rips and rebuilds instead of smaller refurbishments. It's letting them bring each space fully up to date. RE: New locker room too - pally - 07-30-2024
RE: New locker room too - Wyche'sWarrior - 07-30-2024 That locker room is straight fire. RE: New locker room too - pally - 07-30-2024 hopefully they upgraded the plumbing too and not just the fixtures
RE: New locker room too - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 07-30-2024 Wow, that locker room looks frickin' sweet man!!! ![]() "I feel like I am in Tron" lol Has a glow going on for sure. Didn't expect them to go that all out like others said. ![]() |
