RE: Bengals trade 7th round pick for Bears RB Khalil Herbert - Frank Booth - 11-05-2024 they shouldve made another move on top of this. Some of you apparently value late round draft picks even more than Mike Brown if you have a problem with this. I mean, if you ask a lot of people, you can get a quality starting WR in the 7th... RE: Bengals trade 7th round pick for Bears RB Khalil Herbert - TKUHL - 11-05-2024 Why are we so worried about giving up a 7th round pick when we can’t pick for shit anyway. I think it’s a good deal. Prefer D or both TE. But this will have to due god now. A guy that is powerful, can get lost behind the OL, making it difficult for defenders to see him, not to mention (based on the stat) he can het those 2-3 really tough yards. RE: Bengals trade 7th round pick for Bears RB Khalil Herbert - chopperbobby - 11-05-2024 Defense ranked, i think 27th in nfl. No help. We have been without a running game since the super bowl. All i want for christmas is a 2nd pass rusher RE: Bengals trade 7th round pick for Bears RB Khalil Herbert - Sled21 - 11-05-2024 (Yesterday, 11:00 AM)SladeX Wrote: Awesome. Now do Maxx. Detroit is pushing hard for Crosby. The Raiders flat out said he is not available for trade. Last year Zack Moss was 11/17 (72.7%) and 7.1ypc in those same situations. This year he's 3/7 (42.9%) and 0.7ypc. The OL, blocking, and scheme are massive parts of those type of stats that the RB largely has no say in. - - - - - - I'll still take Herbert because I really don't want Trayveon on offense again, but I just don't think he's going to be the solution we need for our woes. RE: Bengals trade 7th round pick for Bears RB Khalil Herbert - Sled21 - 11-05-2024 I can't believe after a week of threads moaning about the Bengals never making a trade, people are complaining about a 7th-round pick. What are you going to get in the 7th round anyway? The guy is a capable running back, but more importantly he is a willing pass blocker and can catch the ball out of the backfield. You're not getting Derrick Henry for a 7th, and if we're going to trade higher picks it needs to be on the defensive line or at corner. RE: Bengals trade 7th round pick for Bears RB Khalil Herbert - schroomytunes - 11-05-2024 I actually think he is an upgrade to Moss. I'm hoping that we are still looking to add to the roster today but I'm thinking were probably done. If we were to add I'd like to look at: 1) Calais Campbell- gives us an immediate need on the DL, and probably could be had for a 6/7 in 2026. 2) Tre Davious White- Cb help RE: Bengals trade 7th round pick for Bears RB Khalil Herbert - Nicomo Cosca - 11-05-2024 (Yesterday, 12:18 PM)TheLeonardLeap Wrote: Last year Zack Moss was 11/17 (72.7%) and 7.1ypc in those same situations. Indy’s OL sure, but isn’t the Bears pretty bad? RE: Bengals trade 7th round pick for Bears RB Khalil Herbert - Joelist - 11-05-2024 The PBLK grades are what the attraction is and Herbert is a decent pass protector with some pop. RE: Bengals trade 7th round pick for Bears RB Khalil Herbert - Bengalfan4life27c - 11-05-2024 More talented and explosive than a healthy Moss cant complain a legit upgrade. Per PFF's non-paid stuff.... LT Braxton Jones: 30th/77 T ... 70.1 Overall, 73.1 Pass/69.8 Run LG Teven Jenkins: 14th/77 G ... 73.9 Overall, 74.3 Pass/71.2 Run C Coleman Shelton: 10th/36 C ... 68.6 Overall, 66.0 Pass/68.8 Run RG Matt Pryor: 25th/77 G ... 69.0 Overall, 78.1 Pass/68.0 Run RT Darnell Wright: 26th/77 T ... 70.7 Overall, 69.3 Pass/74.0 Run I'm not sure how that was year-by-year in the past for Herbert, but the Bears at least right now have a quite good OL. I think that was largely an excuse for why Justin Fields was just a shit QB. Kind of like how people in the media (non-Panthers fans) love to blame the Panthers OL right now but they're pretty good and Bryce Young just isn't. Without doing research, i'm guessing almost all of that was done a season ago? Their OL the past few seasons has been as bad an OL as there is in the league. Last year they did improve it but those stats are those stats and they are attributed to him. We can sugarcoat or not give credit to any player we wan based on statistical measures. RE: Bengals trade 7th round pick for Bears RB Khalil Herbert - Joelist - 11-05-2024 This is both about his running ability and more importantly he is not a liability in pass protection. Also about giving CB a blow on just 4 days which is just as important as well as a change of pace type runner to have the defense have to prepare for. Jim Nagy mentioned there's 25 to 30 draftable running backs in this upcoming class. Well, Evans got hurt. That was probably who they were banking on for "competition". They may have intended to draft one but got effed by the run on RB's right after they took All, who surprise , surprise, is out for the season. RE: Bengals trade 7th round pick for Bears RB Khalil Herbert - psychdoctor - 11-05-2024 Bears fans say his pass-pro is poor. That worries me some because Williams cannot pass pro either in nearly yet. Joe burrow killed last game. Still he's very similar to mixing in terms of running style. According to Joe Goodbury. Bears fans wrong. Remember Chiefs fans claiming OBJr was a bad OT? They always trash outgoing players. |
