The Bengals figured they needed a lot of points with a defense that cost them games when the Bengals scored 30. If they did take the FGs, I'm sure there would be those complaining that the Bengals gave up points on offense, especially when they were at the 1-yard line.

Right after the FG to put them up 7 they give up a TD. This D is still really bad

And the Broncos are not beating anyone in the post season.  A decent D will destroy their offense..
