I don't agree with that; Battle is a solid box safety and Geno has nice ball skills(10 INTs the last two seasons). They probably need to sign a guy like Blackmon in free agency.
I'm more concerned about the pass rush then safety play.

There is a very fast and proven WR I hope if there we consider in round 4 even though we dpn't need a WR per say. This guy was a projected 1st or 2nd round pick, but fell due to an issue with his girfriend. I think he could be our slot guy and is a Zay Flowers type reciever.
Pre-Draft Analysis
Bond is an Alabama transfer who underwhelmed and missed two games with ankle injuries in his only season at Texas, but he still averaged 15.9 yards per catch. He ran a 4.39 40-yard dash at the combine and his burst jumps out on tape. He tracks the deep ball well and has the extra gear to take the top off the coverage. He's a threat to pull away after the catch. He catches the ball well for a receiver with smaller hands. He has the traits to develop into an outstanding route runner. -- Steve Muench

Pre-Draft Analysis
Walker is a gigantic defensive lineman who lined up all along Kentucky's defensive front. He's strong enough to occupy and split double teams between the tackles. Walker sets the edge when he plays outside and pulls blockers off his frame in time to make plays. He swims through blocks to get into the backfield and can reach out to tackle ball carriers despite being engaged with a blocker. Walker pushes the pocket and overpowers blockers rushing off the edge. His arm length is outstanding, he reads the quarterback well, and he gets his hands up in passing windows. -- Steve Muench

They have a young guy they drafted in 2024 also that could develop, he is extremely athletic.

How does that effect your life Nate? Is it going to make your job any harder tomorrow? Will your mortgage go up because someone doesn't like a player that you do? Does not liking players that you do offend you, the same as if someone insulted your family?
Why the hell do you care what someone else thinks about someone you've never met? Is the criticism going to make them instantly a guaranteed bust? Will the Cincinnati Bengals immediately cease to exist if anyone says something negative about what they do?
What actual benefit do you get from "correcting" someone that doesn't like the same player you do at the same level?

Well, two more poor/dumb picks. If this is Al, I want Lou back.
Knight is (at least) a round early and there were probably gonna be similar guys available even later. Furthermore, G, S, and DT had to be more pressing needs. And for my money, CB as well (and TE). So you reached for a guy at, at best, our 5th most needy position?
With Ratledge, Watts, Winston (still there at #81), Mukuba, Alexander, Morrison, Amos, Thonas, and Porter still on the board. The only way LB is a higher priority is if Pratt is gone. If so , we have managed the neat teick of getting no draft capital for him, nor cutting him and using that $$ on a FA. Though both things could change.
But if Knight is a Pratt replacement, what did we get Burks for? And it really is just plugging a Pratt hole and not improving the team (much). We used a premium pick to tread water and leave spots inore dire need of attention unaddressed.
I give it a D.
And not to mention yesterday's dumb pick again, but Green, Scourton, Burch, Gillotte, and Jackson were all on the board at #49.
As for Fairchild, I am glad we got a guard, finally. But he was the 3rd best IOL in his college team. Not sure he is a plug & play starter. Not sure he allows us to cut Volson & use that $$. Watts & Winston were still there. As was Grant eith OT/G versatility (though more of a project).
C+/B- pick.
Overall, I think we are a solid D. Marginally better than when the draft started, but not by much.
I cannot wait for more dumb moves tomorrow. Myoney is on some combo of RB, OT, WR, PK, and QB.

What are you basing your ranking of knight on? Your personal rankings, or draft simulators? I ask because I have done dozens, maybe a hundred or more drafts. There were guys on the sims I was able to get in the late rounds that went on day two. Mukuba went end of two to Philly. This board has no idea of where the teams had these guys rated. Knight may have been there at 81. He may have gone 5 picks after we took him.
Do you realistically think a team is going to give draft capital for Pratt? We’d be lucky to get a seventh for him. They could still sign risner and a safety like Simmons or Blackmon after cutting Pratt. Or use that towards an extension for Trey.

At the moment, I think this is correct. But he has played either side. Volson/Fairchild are LGs all the way and I think Ford is more OT3 than OG3.
But Scherff, Hernandez, and Risner all played RG last year. Though Hernandez & Risner have NGL starting experience on both sides.
I have nothing against Stewart, Knight, or Fairchild. But getting 1 ready starter out of your top 3 picks is pretty poor. And since Pratt is gone, the improvement will be marginal in terms of the starters.
But if we land an OG in FA, then they start at RG, Patrick starts at LG until Fairchild is ready. And Volson likely gets cut.
Use the Pratt/Volson $$ to go get a RG and S Blackmon in FA.
This is still salvage-able-ish.

Yes there are. I simply asked which of the zillions you were looking at. Didn’t kiper have sanders ranked highly? He sure nailed that one. I could probably look through some of the other ones to find where the guys they took are rated higher, but I won’t. I didn’t agree with all the picks either, but they are bengals now and I’ll root for them to succeed.
No comment on Pratt?
Had they not drafted ol at round three half this board would have lost their mind about doing nothing to protect burrow.
