Yet you liked the Billy Price pick in round one and hate Dax.

But I am sure it is just a coincidence, right? Hilarious

From what Mcahay says he isn’t an nfl safety he is a slot corner. I get it you like the guy so you’ll defend. I’m just saying it wasn’t a good pick for what this team needs at this part of the draft. That’s my opinion.

He is a hybrid DB. He can play in the slot as well as play in the box as a safety. He can also probably play a little center field but he didn't do that often. He'll rotate in at slot and get some looks in three safety situations, maybe bringing Bell down as a linebacker in certain personnel packages. He's a fine pick.

You loved the Price pick.

All "A's" and "B's" proves the pick was terrible?

Are you related to BradFritz?

How's the hang-over?

Don't have one. I thought I would but woke up feeling great. Slept like a baby.

Is it 7pmEST yet?

It is alright to have your opinion Scotty. I just simply disagree with it lol

Dax Hill is the perfect Secondary player for the future and especially for us with both our Safeties being up on their contracts
after this year. This allows us to trade Bates for a pick as I disagree with the scouting reports you have heard. He is a Free Safety,
a Slot Corner and a Strong Safety and tackles like a Linebacker and can cover. Fills multiple needs.

RE: ***Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread*** - TecmoBengals - 04-29-2022

What I most like about the Dax pick is that the Bengals added talent and strengthened a weak position group. I think aside from the OL, the '21 - '22 team needed its most improvement in the secondary. We got both potentially the best player available and a team need at pick #31.

Well it was going to be a weak position group when one of Bates or Bell left. This pick keeps that from happening barring injury.

Bates and Bell played fantastic in the Postseason this year and were a major part in why we went to the Super Bowl.

I think we trade Bates now if he isn't down with our offer and extend Von.

Well, if you wait for EST you will be early by an hour. Or late. Or however, EDT works.

REMINDER:

The policy of the board is to wait until the pick has been officially announced (meaning from the podium or the 'pick is in' chyron on tv/stream) before posting it.

Please keep this in mind over the next 2 days.

Thanks,
BJ

I was referring to the entire secondary, not just the safeties. I wonder if they trade Bates or just let him walk?

In this spirit, I think ESPN was the slow network. We're on ESPN time, boys & gals.

Agree with that with Corner. Awuzie is our only really good Corner right now besides now Dax Hill who can play Corner and Safety.

Apple is an okay #2 that might not even start if Bates is here, I think Dax could push for his spot.

I sure hope we trade Bates if he leaves, that would suck to just let him walk for nothing...

RE: ***Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread*** - TecmoBengals - 04-29-2022

Less than 1 hour. I want McBride at TE.

Yeah I saw someone mentioned yahoo put it out early. So I checked on our pick and yahoo announced it early ( what seemed like 5 mins before the podium on espn) I doubt it's too much of an issue today as the picks will be coming in faster.

Tampa Bay is high on him as well and they have 3 picks in the 2nd. He's going to florida IMO.

I hope he gets picked before us. I'm not a fan of TE on day 2. I'm hoping for Josh Paschal at 63. I think we could move him all over the line. But I'll be excited for whoever we pick ( even if it's McBride)

Seems possible based on what I've read online.
