The Bengals figured they needed a lot of points with a defense that cost them games when the Bengals scored 30. If they did take the FGs, I'm sure there would be those complaining that the Bengals gave up points on offense, especially when they were at the 1-yard line.

Ive always hated when people expect the game to go the exact same way regardless of what happened prior.  Life doesn't work like that
