What else did he do that was so bad? Wilson only completed 14 passes. I didn't see anything other than that pass. If your guy isn't catching the ball, you'd think he was playing pretty well. Like you said, he was step for step. Just fell as the ball arrived. *PFF grader* "omg! he fell! minus 20 for you!!!" It's why i don't take any ratings from PFF seriously. The Dalton rating is also ridiculous. Likewise the Gio rating. No clue on Gio. He seemed to do a good job on blitz pickup too, which is a component. I saw a detailed description of Dalton's rating. I know they marked him down for the one Boyd appeared to slip on. Boyd slipped because the ball was thrown to the wrong spot and he was coming back. Also 1 of the Ross TD's got him marked down because the throw wasn't good. But Ross made a good play. Not saying I fully agree with this...but it's some context as to why he wasn't rated higher. Saffold would have been a signing and not required a pick. Plus, with us basically copying the Rams system, he would have fit nicely here. Those PFF graders have no damn business deciding where a ball should have been thrown, unless they're former QBs and the know exactly what play was called and where the receiver should be. It's why they shouldn't be taken seriously. Joe Goodberry on Twitter does a really detailed writeup of that play and agrees with PFF on that particular play. Has Joe Goodberry played the position? Was he in the huddle? Did he take the snap and have to throw the ball against that D? No? Joe Goodberry can go suck on one. He's dead to me, as far as i care. Let me make one thing clear. I love PFF for the next gen/stat adjusted stuff. Love their numbers. I don't give two shits about their opinions. But, it's a pretty decent metric for evaluating guys. People seem to love the Hopkins rating. The thing is, we could run the ball and gave up pressure on 35% of plays. That's going to effect a QB and ratings. PFF is generally good for snorts and giggles. For them to penalize on a play that the players involved already said isn't what they think it is is typical.
