It only says back? Was hoping it wasn't a pulled disc or something, those are terrible.... Back spasms can be dealt with easier and don't cripple you like injured discs. My differential diagnosis includes a gamekeeper’s thumb in addition to a fracture because both could be treated the same way. I’ve seen many athletes with that injury because it is a pretty common thumb injury. So far I haven’t read any primary source information confirming what the injury was.
