They got stronger by losing their defensive coach and six starters? It’s not that simple knothead. Are we better at DJ’s spot? I think we are. You can’t just look at punting and say special teams suck. RE: AFCN - who do you fear the most in 2024? - NotBigzo - 07-05-2024 Steelers, because it looks like they finally found a solution to their QB problem. Russell Willson may not be what he used to be, but intangibles wise; he's the best they've had in a very long time. Ravens with a healthy Lamar isn't as scary. Lost some parts to that defense that will make up for any improvement they have offensively. Browns shouldn't be a problem anymore. There's no reason we can't see them blow for blow anymore. RE: AFCN - who do you fear the most in 2024? - Luvnit2 - 07-05-2024 I am not a fan of fear being used to answer this question. The team I respect the most is the Ravens, great on all 3 units fairly consistently. May have the best kicker in the NFL. They draft and bring in FAs to shore up weaknesses. I am happy to split with them each year. I feel like we've been saying the Browns aren't a problem for like 6 or 7 years now... Seems like we've beaten them maybe 3 times in that span (if that). RE: AFCN - who do you fear the most in 2024? - Frank Booth - 07-05-2024 all 3 for different reasons Browns: always seem to beat cincy. they have the bengals' number Ravens: will be the main competition for the division Steelers: most likely to injure the bengals RE: AFCN - who do you fear the most in 2024? - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 07-05-2024 (07-05-2024, 11:31 AM)Luvnit2 Wrote: I am not a fan of fear being used to answer this question. It isn't really about fear true. If Burrow is healthy everyone should fear the Bengals especially if our Defense gets it's ass together and starts to communicate and tackle better. I used to respect the Ravens until they started getting almost as dirty as the stealers and Harbaugh started crying and complaining to the NFL about completely legal tackles and making them illegal. Screw the Ratbirds now along with the rest of the Division. Let's sweep the bastids. We only beat them when it means nothing to them or nothing to us. Need to start beating them in the first game we meet those Stains every year instead of the last where either we or they are resting starters. With both, they can beat you on the ground. Regardless of what formation they're in. Defenses might struggle with that. RE: AFCN - who do you fear the most in 2024? - TKUHL - 07-05-2024 Browns, Browns, Browns! As long as they have Garrett we will struggle. Other than us, I think the Browns have the most talented roster. They have some serious weapons, if Watson gets his feet under him look out. Damn I hate our division. Other than us, I think the Browns have the most talented roster. They have some serious weapons, if Watson gets his feet under him look out. Damn I hate our division. We have a vicious division. Always have, always will. AFCN is the hardest-hitting, cheap-shot (steelers, Browns, Ravens) division there is. There's almost a rivalry between every team. I love it in some ways, but hate it in other ways. I fear malicious injuries every single game against the AFCN. Ive been hearing Browns, Browns, Browns for last three years and to be honest i think the ship has passed, their drafts have been thin last three years, and FA they only really dipped in due to cap issues, they lost the QB that actually saved them to get to playoffs since 2020 in Flaco, I think the ship is sailing on the Browns unless underachieving , injury prone Watson has a 180 turn around RE: AFCN - who do you fear the most in 2024? - Tomkat - 07-08-2024 (06-26-2024, 12:49 PM)ochocincos Wrote: Record vs each team since Burrow arrived in 2020: Now remove the games that Burrow didn't play due to injury. The premise mentioned Joe Burrow, specifically. RE: AFCN - who do you fear the most in 2024? - Joelist - 07-08-2024 I'd still pick the Stealers as the major other team threat. The Browns always find a way to self destruct and the Rats lost coaches and six starters in the offseason (three offensive linemen and three starting defenders). And they did not necessarily have groomed up replacements ready. The Stealers added help at LB and most importantly now have a competent starting QB. Even if Wilson has seen better days he is still a solid vet. I figured there wasn't much value in going back even further than 4 years ago because that starts to get even more irrelevant. For Joe Burrow's game specifically: vs CLE: 0-2 in 2020, 0-1 in 2021, 1-1 in 2022, 0-1 in 2023. 1-5 in total. vs BAL: 0-1 in 2020, 2-0 in 2021, 2-1 in 2022 (inc, playoffs), 0-2 in 2023. 4-4 in total. vs PIT: 0-1 in 2020, 2-0 in 2021, 1-1 in 2022, 0-0 in 2023. 3-2 in total. So CLE has been by far the biggest thorn in the Bengals' side, with or without Burrow. The stealers upgraded their QB position which was their biggest weakness and the Stains always beat us in the games that matter. My vote is still the Stains because of this reason as the team that has our number. This needs to change. With Burrow I don't fear any of these teams, but with all that the Ratbirds lost I could see people voting for the Stains or the stealers over them as our biggest threat in the Division. In the end not that record you would expect from a top tier QB in division games RE: AFCN - who do you fear the most in 2024? - lone bengal - 07-12-2024 Ravens, Lamar difficult to defend plus now has Henry in the backfield , Flowers explosive trending towards a good WR1 , Andrews one of the best TE ‘s. Tyler Linderbaum has all pro potential at center same goes for Kyle Hamilton. Justin Madubuike one of the better young Dt's in the league , Roquan Smith's a stud, Humprhey one of the best slot cb's, Tucker the best kicker. They lost a bunch of guys this offseason but they always draft good and reload. |
