RE: Coaching...or Talent? - ERIC1 - 11-18-2024 as much as I like Zac Taylor..its time for a change..especially with lease negotiations coming up with the county..This team should start fresh..with new coaches..salvage the players like Burrow, Chase etc and move forward in another direction.. From top to bottom.. everything is out of synch..again what is most concerting to me is the fact the team drafts somes good players that perform well in college and they play like crap when they get here..I don't know if it is bad player evaluation or bad coaching or a combination of the two...We need a Dan Campbell clone..tough, smart but relates well to the players..Oh well RE: Coaching...or Talent? - Billy_Bengal - 11-18-2024 Start with dumping Duke Tobin RE: Coaching...or Talent? - Timanky12 - 11-18-2024 (11-18-2024, 04:30 PM)ERIC1 Wrote: as much as I like Zac Taylor..its time for a change..especially with lease negotiations coming up with the county..This team should start fresh..with new coaches..salvage the players like Burrow, Chase etc and move forward in another direction.. Does anyone truly believe Zac Taylor is getting fired? Changes only happen when the Brown family starts seeing revenue dropping, from no one coming to the game. The fans are not there yet, but it’s getting close. Next couple home games, is your chance to make your voice heard. Send a message to the Brown family that this is not acceptable, and changes will happen. If not, Burrow and Chase will ask to be traded, and we are back to ground zero, again. Does anyone truly believe Zac Taylor is getting fired? We'd have to win 3-4 games for a few years before Zac's seat gets hot. I agree. With Burrow, that won't happen. RE: Coaching...or Talent? - Timanky12 - 11-18-2024 Did you say coaching talent or coaching and talent? Either way, they both fit. RE: Coaching...or Talent? - Fan_in_Kettering - 11-18-2024 Sometimes a comment gives me pause and such happened this morning. I read where Rex Ryan said other than Trey Hendrickson, the Bengals’ defensive roster has the talent of a scout team. If Rex is correct then Lou Anarumo is trying to coach these scrubs to NFL caliber instead of coaching NFL caliber players to run particular schemes. It's the nature of the beast. We're going to let Tee walk next year. The trick is knowing who to let walk and who to keep. We can't keep them all, heck I even seen Eli Apple make a play against us last night. LOL. Oh yeah, I get that....but I don't believe you should let a top tier lineman that you drafted and developed walk after his rookie contract. It was more about how the front office just doesn't value IOL positions. RE: Coaching...or Talent? - Wyche'sWarrior - 11-18-2024 (11-18-2024, 04:23 PM)Nicomo Cosca Wrote: Bad, bad, bad. Our coaches have a lot of say in who gets drafted and Lou has been on this team when they spent a lot of high draft picks on defense. It is Lou picking these players and having say so in who get to come here in free agency like Stone and Rankings. RE: Coaching...or Talent? - SladeX - 11-19-2024 Good coaching can improve decent talent. Bad coaching destroys it. We’re witnessing the latter. Elite talent seems immune. We have maybe 4 elite players Burrow Chase Brown Hendrickson RE: Coaching...or Talent? - JonasNJ - 11-19-2024 (11-18-2024, 08:23 PM)BengalsBong Wrote: Our coaches have a lot of say in who gets drafted and Lou has been on this team when they spent a lot of high draft picks on defense. Every one else is drafted or signed under Lou, to fit into his system. Lou have got all the pieces to his defense and they still look like a European division 3 team. Lous seat should be on fire - But we all know Bengals wont change anything. RE: Coaching...or Talent? - Big Boss - 11-19-2024 Tobin can't scout talent. Coaches can't develop talent. Front office can't retain talent. For a team that puts so much stress on the draft and hitting on those picks, you'd think they'd actually invest resources in the scouting department. Nope. |
