Don't forget Zeitler

His injury history has destroyed his bargaining power.

Unfortunately yes they will.  Maybe not 35M a year but he'll get close just based on potential alone.  He's that good when he plays.

RE: The Tee Conundrum - Essex Johnson - 11-19-2024

Find a replacement, We have put up numbers with and without him,we need $$ in other areas to win.

Exactly, Tee is a great person and is a Bengals fan like us so I always wanted him to be a Bengal and for a long time but it just isn't in
the Bengals best interest with how much he is injured and how much he will command when we have Chase that we have to pay the
most to. I would like for us to tag and trade him so it would be best for all involved but I think it is most likely we just let him test the
open market and hope he does well wherever he goes except when playing us.

The scheme appears to be weak here. Tee beat a double team himself for a long TD last night.

That said, he misses a chunk of games each year.

Thoughts...

Tee is very tall.. he makes those catches down the middle..but he's gonna get hurt. With that said, imagine getting a TE to go down the middle instead of Tee, maybe someone like Hurst, who is big & tough and can actually catch.... just imagine some genius head coach analyzing this and say.. yes, we can do it.

Sarcasm Glad he kept Sample...and playing TE caurosel with the rest.  Sarcasm

RE: The Tee Conundrum - J24 - 11-19-2024

Tee is 6th in receiving yards per game & 3rd( tied) in first down receptions per a game.

Are we calling the last laugh getting paid, winning, or both?
-The Falcons have gone 13-15 with Bates.
-Zeitler left and immediately went 0-16 and then 7-8-1 with the Browns. Then went to the Giants and went 4-12 and 6-10. Heck he went to Baltimore and they went 8-9 his first year.

Whit certainly had the last laugh. We'll see with Mixon.

RE: The Tee Conundrum - FormerlyBengalRugby - 11-19-2024

Trade him for parts.

The team has enough holes that the offense does not need to be rich at WR if it can make some stops on defense, or improve the interior o-line.

If the o-line is stacked, it does not matter who the Bengals have at WR.

If the defense is shut down, it does not matter if the offense struggles at times.

Trade him for parts.

Tagging a second time and trading for the rights to sign him is a better plan than letting him walk for a 3rd round compensatory pick...

RE: The Tee Conundrum - grampahol - 11-20-2024

C'mon..you just know Tee is going to end up in either Baltimore or Pittsburgh and never so much as have a hangnail the rest of his life. He'll be the living embodiment of perfect NFL health the rest of his days..   Sad

And an even better plan than that would have been to trade him before. You saw how that worked out.

Have they ever used the tag on a player twice? Not that I can remember. And Duke is on record saying he’s “not in the business of making other teams better.”

I fully expect it to just come down to a comp pick. Because of course it will.

That bag son. They weren't going to win anything of substance here either with the nepotistic morons running things.

It will because that's how we roll.

I can't remember how many years ago this was? 5? But I remember IIRC it was the LL that posted a list of the prior decades comp picks. And only like 1 was a regular contributor and maybe 1 or 2 others had "some" playing time. And the rest were nothing.

But MB seems to just love him some comp picks.
