No state income tax plus it's friggin Miami. RE: Happy Tampering Day - Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 - 03-11-2025 The top Gs are still out there, mostly. Fries, Becton, Jenkins, Zeitler, etc. Get Tee done. Get Chase done. Reduce those cap hits. Restructure Burrow. Cut Moss. Free more space. They've been playing the long game, and though the bemefit is important we said the same thing last year that Tee's cap hit reduction would have helped us. All of those moves needed to happen and still can happen, but if they were close they would have signed them to act on the exact scenario you're spelling out. I like what Scott Peters has done and I like the way he talks but get a damn proven Guard instead of trying to make something out of nothing. Volson and Ford HAVE shown they are backups at best. Chase will the only one who gets that kinda deal. He has 9.5 career sacks. Even if he had that in one season, Idk if I'd be ready to say he is a "proven pass rusher" I SAID it is more proven than a rookie. Would you of wanted us to not sign a single EDGE? I don't think you give a **** about the Bengals. You would rather they suck so you could complain more. Ossai got messed up mentally after the AFC Championship Mahomes push and he just finally got over it. Get over yourself. Seems like half the folks here would prefer this… sadly. RE: BREAKING: Bengals give Trey Hendrickson permission to be traded - pally - 03-11-2025 Albert Breer with SI is reporting that Hendrickson’s agent told the Bengals they could get a 1st round pick for him. That’s the point they told Trey to go for it. That’s a big boast for a soon to be 31 year old no matter how good he’s been RE: BREAKING: Bengals give Trey Hendrickson permission to be traded - Bengalbug - 03-11-2025 (03-10-2025, 06:24 PM)BenZoo2 Wrote: Washington gave up several picks to acquire Laremy Tunsil from Houston. Wonder if this takes them of the Trey sweepstakes or they go all in and don’t draft much this year. I believe Commanders are out. I’m wondering if the offers are any better from a contract standpoint RE: Happy Tampering Day - Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 - 03-11-2025 (03-11-2025, 12:12 AM)THE PISTONS Wrote: Rumor is that Tee, Chase, and Trey want top of the market deals. So? Tee's cap hit will cone DOWN if he's signed long term. So will Chase's (see Justin Jefferson). We'll create more space this year (and likely next) by signing them long term. I was skeptical on Chase, but it checks out. Trey, not so much,,but when added in with the other 2, it is still a net savings. Those are all gone.. RE: BREAKING: Bengals give Trey Hendrickson permission to be traded - Joelist - 03-11-2025 If the Bengals stick to wanting a 1 for Trey odds are Trey will still be here. I remember folks on here relatively recently telling us that Tee doesn't even want to be paid as a WR1 anymore. Sure it might be the same folks who said Burrow/Chase/Tee were all going to take below-market discounts to stick together, but they certainly wouldn't be spreading untruths. ![]() RE: Happy Tampering Day - Goalpost - 03-11-2025 Jonathan Allen to the Vikes RE: Happy Tampering Day - jj22 - 03-11-2025 There goes the safety market. The big mistake is their decision to stick with Stone. There's no SB coming next year. This FA period did nothing to move the needle. Signing Ossai definitely isn't a bad move. It's actually pretty decent in the spot they're in. Maybe he was just putting things together last year. Plus, he got really limited snaps as they kept trotting Hubbard out there. What might turn out to be the bad move is the 1 year part if he has a huge year. Tee would have been signed long ago if he wanted to be paid as a #2 I'm fairly sure. And Chase likely wants $40 million a year. While Chase is an amazing receiver, and they kind of have to do it...Chase likely isn't going to improve on his stats much from last year. So you'll basically be paying him double for similar or slightly worse stats. I think the rub with the Bengals is when you have an elite QB, do you need 2 elite WR's? Teams like the Saints with Brees and Colts with Manning only had 1 and then a strong running game. |
