The problem is his is more of in the box safety, but I think he is much better than Battle. RE: Happy Tampering Day - Whatever - 03-11-2025 (03-11-2025, 09:19 AM)THE PISTONS Wrote: Tee would have been signed long ago if he wanted to be paid as a #2 I'm fairly sure. The Colts were kind of a total package offense when they won it all in '06. Harrison had 1300+ yards and 12 TD's, Reggie Wayne had 1300+ yards and 9 YD's, and they had two solid receiving TE's in Dallas Clark and Ben Utecht. Addai was the lead RB that year topping 1000 yards and also caught 40 passes. Having 2 elite WR's allowed them to play a lot of 12 to help the run game. Ironically, they won it all the year after Edgerrin James left. RE: Happy Tampering Day - Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 - 03-11-2025 Both ESPN and NFL.com have us as LOSERS so far in FA. Mainly for screwing the pooch on Chase, Trey, and Tee. https://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/44196530/2025-nfl-free-agency-winners-losers-contracts-signings-trades-49ers-jaguars-patriots-darnold-jarrett https://www.nfl.com/news/2025-free-agency-winners-and-losers-sam-darnold-up-patrick-mahomes-down-as-frenzy-kicks-into-gear RE: Happy Tampering Day - CottonHill - 03-11-2025 (03-11-2025, 10:22 AM)Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 Wrote: Both ESPN and NFL.com have us as LOSERS so far in FA. On a roster with so many holes, it should be pretty easy to sign clear upgrades, yet we haven’t done that. Not at one position. RE: Happy Tampering Day - Nepa - 03-11-2025 (03-11-2025, 10:22 AM)Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 Wrote: Both ESPN and NFL.com have us as LOSERS so far in FA. Mainly for screwing the pooch on Chase, Trey, and Tee. The Family has had a long time to be able to sign the three or to make a trade for Hendrickson and/or Higgins. It is starting to be eerily similar to last year when fans waited to the end of preseason to sign Chase and it never happened and waited all off season to sign Higgins and it never happened. Not sure any of us want to experience that waiting game again. RE: Happy Tampering Day - Goalpost - 03-11-2025 I believe Air Coryell was the greatest offense I ever witnessed. Don Coryell was the architect. His collection of talent included Dan Fouts, Chuck Muncie, Kellen Winslow, Charlie Joiner, Wes Chandler, John Jefferson, and even James Brooks. The roster hasn't yet reflected enough improvement to compete for a Super Bowl. Additionally, who knows the feelings the four best Bengals are going to have entering the season (Burrow, Chase, Trey, and Tee) because of how the contract situations are playing out for Tee, Chase, and Trey. Yes, they are elite athletes and professionals but they are still people and any negative feelings they have about the contracts could impact their performance. I'm sure a couple or so outlier fans will disagree, but from a math and numbers point of view, I won't argue at all. RE: Happy Tampering Day - Nicomo Cosca - 03-11-2025 Fries to the Vikings. 5/88. Hendrrickson's team said they could deliver one...so far that seems to have been an empty boast RE: Happy Tampering Day - CJD - 03-11-2025 (03-11-2025, 10:44 AM)Nicomo Cosca Wrote: Fries to the Vikings. 5/88. That's an expensive guard haha. RE: Happy Tampering Day - Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 - 03-11-2025 Fries to Minny. 5 years, $88 mil. RG targets: Zeitler, Becton, Scherff. LG tartets: Daniels. The moves yesterday & before were OK. Briging back Hill, Gesicki, & Ossai, if on slight overpays. Not a huge fan of the Slaton price tag. We could have just kept Reader for less than Rankins + Slaton. Perine & Burks are good deals, but backups most likely. As most of our other retentions outside of Rehkow/Adomitis who were restricted. Overall, I think we are in D/F range in FA. No big 3 deals. No Burrow restructure. No G help. No interior pass rush help. No S upgrades. We did sign a starting pair of DTs who are both better run stoppers than pass rushers. A rotational edge for $7 mil. And a fine LB3 and RB2. Still need 2 starting Gs, DE2, and DT pass rush. At a minimum. TE1, S upgrades, CB1, LB L2 upgrade, true WR3 would also help. Deal negotiated by Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey. Wait he was one of the guys they threw out there when everyone else was hurt, right? I don't know if it's updated with all the free agent signings thus far, but at least as of right now Spotrac says that would make him the 10th highest paid G in the league based off AAV. (Obviously contract structure including guaranteed money at signing matters a lot when being more accurate, but close enough.) |
