It keeps the defence honest. Obviously helps when it works. Those pass plays aren't as simple if we don't run it.

Because we’re running and doing quick throws. Just like we did the opening drive. It’s what we need to do against a team with a great pass rush. We can play more loose against Buffalo next week

Carman is good against the bull rush, he struggles with speed rushers. So in this instance, with how Smith is rushing he might be the better choice.

The way they are playing off, just give him a few seconds. Looks like the Ravens only sent four this whole drive and they aren’t getting home.
