The Front Office is small and is dealing with all the contracts from the draft picks and UDFAs etc. I don't expect them to circle back to Trey until at LEAST mid-June more likely when training camp starts in July. So they can't ring up his agent and say, "hey, let's circle back to this after we take care of X business"? It could happen but Hendrikson will be a free agent and looking for a new contract with a new team next year most likely. So Hendrikson better not let his agent talk him into a corner by having a half ass year. RE: Trey Hendrickson Update - michaelsean - 05-12-2025 If the refs would flag the O line even half the time Trey is mugged then he’d definitely be with $40 million. RE: Trey Hendrickson Update - THE PISTONS - 05-12-2025 Trey just shared the Shefter story that no communication has taken place with the Bengals since the draft on his ig stories. I'm guessing it's true. RE: Trey Hendrickson Update - Soonerpeace - 05-12-2025 (3 hours ago)PDub80 Wrote: Based on the last reports on this, I'm siding with the Bengals.... You’re not far off here. But I don’t know if the NFL is structured that 20% is incentives. Trey has earned top 5 DE money that’s not bonus structured. If Cincy can’t work a deal trade him for what they can. There’s the rub. They want too much. Just take the loss Cincy RE: Trey Hendrickson Update - TheLeonardLeap - 05-12-2025 (8 hours ago)THE PISTONS Wrote: Team has the leverage. I always find it interesting when people say things like that about truly star players. Without Hendrickson, the Bengals playoff hopes are already over. Their defense is already looking like it will be rough at best, but without your All-Pro sack king? It would be the worst in the league. We saw last year that even if you ask Burrow to throw it 40 times a game to put up MVP-like numbers and Chase has a triple crown, that's still not enough. That's then a third straight season of missing the playoffs, another year of Burrow's career gone, and a souring of fans who the Blackburns want money from. It's why star players have always had more say and leverage. There's so few of them, they have a massively outsized impact compared to non-stars, and they're so hard/impossible to replace. Our stalling in rewarding our star players ( except Burrow) has cost us a lot of money. |
