I don't know all the jobs you worked, but the odds are every job you have ever worked there's been hundreds of thousands if not tens of millions of people who could be trained to replace you. Even if you were a lawyer, there's over 1.3 million of them in the US, over a million in the EU, over a million in India.
You can't just pluck a replacement NFL 1st round draft pick off the streets and give them a month of OtJ training to get them up to speed. Heck, there's only like ~1700 players in the NFL and there's a LARGE difference between just 1st and 3rd/4th/5th/6th/7th round picks... let alone just some random joe off the street.

Heck...Im not sure he goes in the 1st if we dont draft him this year. Maybe a few teams consider him, but A LOT won't take a guy with poor production.

What they are doing right now is truly remarkable.
- Hendrickson multi year contract saga
- Drafting 2 First Round DEs in the span of 24 months who cant sack the QB
- Shamar Stewart Saga
- Inability to work with the city on the stadium lease - Deadlocked
- Current Cap Space of 31.9 Mll (9th most in the NFL as of today)
This team continues to be an absolute embarrassment for the fans and people of Cincinnati. They are the same level of ineptitude as the Reds
Forget about the last 4 years with one of the best winning percentages in the NFL...forget about burrow and company ..forget about the bengals being in the top 5% of national viewership in the NFL..lets forget about Paycor being sold out for every game.

I'm afraid some have lost creditability around here. Go with your gut feeling. This offseason outside of the Chase/Tee deals has been a mess. FA/Draft/Keeping players who performed poorly who we were sure were gone (not named Pratt).
The only reason this offseason isn't a F- is because of the Chase / Tee deals. And the agent had to threaten them with losing Chase to get that done.

Our starting guards are a 3rd round rookie, and a battle between Cody Ford and a career journeyman in Lucas Patrick.
Our only additions to an absolutely dreadful DL who couldn’t rush the passer to save their lives were a nose tackle, and a DE who literally can’t sack the QB.

The Bengals misses in the draft and misses in Free Agency have put us in this position. Volson was a bust. Murphy & Dax Hill haven’t contributed like first rounders. Burton? Geno Stone? Sheldon Rankins? Nick Scott? Irv Smith? Just a few successes make this team much better. It’s really as simple as this. But the failure to sign Tee,Chase, and Trey much earlier probably frees up 15 million in cap space. It’s a shame the offense will be the best in Taylor’s tenure.

They signed Trey early 2 years ago which is why he is being paid 21 million for the 2025 season. You cant complain about the Bengals not signing guys early so they have lower cap hits then turn around and complain the next year or year after the contract is too low and the player should be paid a lot more. Which is it? If the Bengals had signed Chase early last year for 30 million per season you would be the same people that would turn around and complain about Bengals management not paying Chase enough money because he outplayed his early contract.

Chase & Tee were my primary target here. The price went up for Chase & Tee and even Trey. And I would not be the same people complaining if he out played his contract. I’d be pleased with either the OG or S free agent signing for this season that the extra cap space it generated.

I blame the team for 95 percent of everything. In this case I think it's a combination. The public nature of the grievance on Stewart's part is kind of off-putting. You can have a tough negotiation without going public. I personally think the performance aspect is unhelpful. Same goes for Trey, and I'm firmly on his side.
If I respect the team for anything, it's their effort to keep things behind closed doors in these kinds of dust-ups.
