RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - jfkbengals - 04-28-2023 (04-28-2023, 12:31 AM)THE PISTONS Wrote: TE isn't a premium position. The Bengals like to get guys on cheap, rookie deals at premium positions. It can be. Look what Eifert did for the offense when he was healthy. But considering we have injury question marks at starter for both TE and CB, I really thought they would have jumped on one of Mayer or Porter. Meanwhile we will continue to be ineffective against 2 high because we did not get anyone to help force teams out of 2 high. Looking at Lou's comments, it looks like they expect him to flex inside on pass rush a lot. I saw a lot of blatant holding from kc RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - Sled21 - 04-28-2023 So I guess Patty is going to get Mayer now... At least 5 guys I would have taken before him. RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - masonbengals fan - 04-28-2023 Pass rush had to be improved but I would have taken Mayer the way it played out. But what do I know. RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - Stewy - 04-28-2023 (04-28-2023, 12:33 AM)Tony Wrote: Stupid ass Tobin dumbest pick.. Mayer was there too.. oh look - bad take Tony jumps in with his normal quality offering RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - phil413 - 04-28-2023 (04-28-2023, 12:34 AM)Wyche Wrote: Sounds like the boys on WLW did their homework. Said the team was not happy with the pass rush last year and wouldn't be surprised if they took edge or 3T early. They may have both with Murphy, maybe they line him up at UT on 3rd. RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - Soonerpeace - 04-28-2023 They were not impressed with Mayer’s blocking that’s why they passed. They need good blocking and there will be some at 2 or 3. Prob because of his dad I know I didn't, him and his toxic Dad can go elsewhere. We also have Irv smith. R-e-l-a-x. The pass rush was also terrible with Hendrickson on the field. They are a highly paid group that needs to just figure it out and improve from within. I also remember how awful our TEs were last year without Hurst on the field and the only change they made was replacing Hurst with a guy who missed more games in his first 4 seasons than Tyler Eifert. TE now is going to be an absolute drain on the offense's ability in 2023 anytime they're on the field. RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - CarolinaBengalFanGuy - 04-28-2023 The Giants recent Super Bowl teams were really good because they had a deep cast of pass rushers. Also with all the Quarterbacks in our division we certainly need some kind of edge against them. Below is a edge video for the draft. He has him in tier 1. Great value https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/players/2023/myles-murphy RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - Destro - 04-28-2023 I love the NFL. Know nothing about college players. I have hated position picks in the past ( CBs notably ), but based on the last few years, I will believe in the picks. |
