And anyone thinking Washington is an elite TE needs to pick another sport to pretend to be an expert.... You’re right Caesar. It was a really solid pick considering our inability to sack a qb. Tight end will be there tomorrow (Mayer, Washington, musgrave) or day 3 (whyle, etc). Tight in the first isnt where you get the best bang for your buck… history has told us that. RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - Frank Booth - 04-28-2023 (04-28-2023, 12:41 AM)Bengalbug Wrote: Oh cmon. The bengals were unable to sack the qb. OBVIOUSLY we needed help in that department. I love Hubbard and Hendrickson, but we can get better at getting to the qb on 3rd down. This will also help out our secondary. I dont hate the pick because I didnt want Mayer or Porter but yea, there was blatant holding from kc that game. I know the pass rush needs improvement, I've been saying it in other threads. But that afc title featured plenty of grabbing RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - KyBengalfan94 - 04-28-2023 Jesus christ how much KC dick sucking do we have to watch RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - Truck_1_0_1_ - 04-28-2023 (04-28-2023, 12:36 AM)jfkbengals Wrote: It can be. Look what Eifert did for the offense when he was healthy. But considering we have injury question marks at starter for both TE and CB, I really thought they would have jumped on one of Mayer or Porter. There will be someone they covet in the next 2 round, don't worry RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - The D.O.Z. - 04-28-2023 I like the pick. Nice addition to the DL room. Lou has a plethora of guys on that front he can mix and match with depending on scenario. I always welcome more pass rush! RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - Sled21 - 04-28-2023 Reading his production numbers of sacks and tackles for loss makes me feel better about the pick. I guess he and Ossai will be the primary end rotation pieces RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - coachmcneil71 - 04-28-2023 Eagles D! Jeesh! RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - Synric - 04-28-2023 I'm surprised at all the Myles Murphy hate... we are talking about one of the most talented edge rushers in a deep edge class. RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - Wyche'sWarrior - 04-28-2023 (04-28-2023, 12:39 AM)TheLeonardLeap Wrote: The pass rush was also terrible with Hendrickson on the field. They are a highly paid group that needs to just figure it out and improve from within. Wasn't Hendrickson playing pretty good before the broken wrist? Now we have two pretty good, young players to rotate and keep Sam and Trey fresh. Plus they potentially fill the need when those two's contracts expire. Calculated move, imo. They're going to have to pay bank to keep the band together on offense. Their best strategy with that in mind is to have effective players on defense on rookie deals. I find some of your highly ranked members to be complete douchebags RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - Bilbo Saggins - 04-28-2023 Guys... Murphy hate has been done before. https://youtu.be/dv05E7cHiKg RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - bengals1969 - 04-28-2023 (04-28-2023, 12:45 AM)The D.O.Z. Wrote: I like the pick. Second is RB or CB. I bet that’s a Friday pick. RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - Clark W Griswold - 04-28-2023 Yeah that Philadelphia defense is going to be elite RE: ***2023 NFL Draft Thread*** - DYT_Bengal - 04-28-2023 Mayer had some awful blocking atleast early in the season last year - looked small and used his shoulder a lot. I honestly like Tucker Kraft a lot or Schoonmaker later if that means we can grab a CB in the second.
