They offer zero upside. I’m sorry to put Erickson and Tate in the same sentence tells me ur medication don’t work. My lord people. If u think Tate is gonna get the same interest as Erickson u should not b near a football team. It's boredom. I'm gonna just file this under WGAF RE: So who is our #4 WR - rfaulk34 - 05-05-2021 (05-02-2021, 10:36 AM)fredtoast Wrote: -Going into free agency I predicted that we would sign at least one mid-tier WR with some proven production in the NFL. Top level WRs get a lot of money, but there are always decent veterans available for a reasonable price. On the roster; Tate Thomas Morgan Irwin (prolly PS) Washington (PS at best, prolly cut) They will probably keep their eyes peeled on any vets or young guys that get cut. Until Tate got hurt himself, then AJ finished it. He just needs to be put on the field more. RE: So who is our #4 WR - rfaulk34 - 05-05-2021 (05-02-2021, 04:42 PM)Nicomo Cosca Wrote: He has 1 career TD in 3 years... Hard to be a red zone weapon when you get a total of 4 targets inside the 20 and zero inside the 10. Eh, he got 80 targets in 2019 (and still only had 1 TD). I don’t really buy lack of opportunity. Plus he’s always hurt. Including a perfect 7 targets and 7 receptions at Tennessee for 65 yards. Plus, he is a very solid blocker as a WR. Erickson was in his fourth year as well, as opposed to the second year for Tate, and his first year of seeing some real playing time. I'd take Tate over Thomas or Erickson(when here)any day of the week. It still doesn't mean that going forward that he's a lock for WR 4 on game day 2021. He might even want to be traded/released again if he doesn't see play time or has to compete for that spot. We shall see...
