If fixed, they should have called a facemask on the run in case he didn't get in. It is just officiating. Sometimes it sucks, sometimes it is calls you just don't like.

Sorry bro, you’re wrong on this one.

Just terrible to watch. Refs all of a sudden throwing flags

The illegal contact was more Cooper pushing the dude down from what I saw.

Sick of game changing/ending plays being reversed due to questionable penalties. Refs like to insert themselves at the end of games and make it about them.

Did you watch the last minute? This game was fixed lol. Illegal touching when Cooper is the one initiating contact on the same play QB was sack/strip fumbled the play right before the DPI, and the uncatchable DPI in the endzone by at least 10 yards too far and high. You don't call DPI on that in this situation, or any situation really, but giving them the ball on the 1?

Then CLE passing 3 times before running for it on the 4th down is hilarious. a movie. Makes you question the Bengals superbowl run lol

The Clowns should be 2-4 but got bailed out at end of last two games now.

RE: Lions @ Ravens / Browns @ Colts / Steelers @ Rams Gameday Thread - Destro - 10-22-2023

I have seen at least three people in Bengals gear in the stands.

Talk about an undeserved "win"...

Yeah, that's 2 weeks in a row they got phantom calls going for them.

Yep. Cooper commits OPI but they conveniently call it on the Colts to undo the game ending play.

Fixed? So one team is designed to win? Then why watch? Turn on HBO and at least see something more entertaining.

Both fouls were even explained by Gene Steratore. They were fouls. Uncatchable didn't even apply in that case.

It's interesting to think why, but the Bengals didn't get bailed out as noticeably, but got lucky in their superbowl run. Browns are fun to watch (1) and maybe the league thinks the Bengals can't recover (2) and they want to keep the division interesting because the steelers QB is one of the worst in the league.

RE: Lions @ Ravens / Browns @ Colts / Steelers @ Rams Gameday Thread - Joelist - 10-22-2023

I'm still waiting for the first time in Bengals history they win a game because of a bad call late - the Stains already have 2 this season. Proof of NFL corruption - the league wants the Stains in the playoffs.

Gene didn't say that, he said there was merit for them to review it. The DPI occurred after the ball was thrown, it didn't affect the QBs throw. If there was DPI before the throw it would have been a hold.

If the QB throws the ball 100 yards in the stands and you commit DPI after the throw, is it DPI?

The official NFL rule book contains only one reference to the term “uncatchable.” Rule 8, Section 5, Article 3© identifies as a permissible act "[c]ontact that would normally be considered pass interference, but the pass is clearly uncatchable by the involved players.”

Holding up a Steel Curtain banner is like me going to a Reds game with a Big Red Machine banner.
