RE: Bengals New Defense Coordinator - psychdoctor - 01-16-2019 I stated this earlier in this thread but maybe someone from the college ranks for DC. If it is, I hope is someone from this list: Looking at college coaches: Don Brown (Michigan) Brent Venables (Clemson) Manny Diaz (Miami) Bob Shoop (Mississippi State) RE: Bengals New Defense Coordinator - psychdoctor - 01-17-2019 New name emerges as potential DC candidate: Scott McCurley, former Packer Defensive Assistant. RE: Bengals New Defense Coordinator - Nati#1 - 01-17-2019 Taylor will find a good one. He seems to be a football guy and a winner. He'll know what to do. RE: Bengals New Defense Coordinator - Nati#1 - 01-17-2019 Hue Jackson will probably call Mike "hey Mike, I can coach the defense too, just gimme the job. I can do it all, I'm a melon headed know it all" RE: Bengals New Defense Coordinator - J24 - 01-17-2019 (01-17-2019, 06:11 PM)fredtoast Wrote: Marvin Lewis While there is no way this should or would happen it would be the most interesting move any NFL team can make. As to the OP I hope whomever we hire looks at the last 4 games and decides to play that style of football. We do not need a ton blitzes but more press at the line of scrimmage at let the front 4 get loose. RE: Bengals New Defense Coordinator - psychdoctor - 01-18-2019 Someone may have mentioned this in another thread. Another new name has emerged and I think this is a strong possibility: https://www.therams.com/news/evero-beginning-work-with-rams-safeties-18590267 Ejiro Evero LAR safeties coach. RE: Bengals New Defense Coordinator - psychdoctor - 01-18-2019 For Offense Coordinator, this candidate may be Press Taylor but another name has surfaced: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Lombardi Joe Lombardi coached at the University of Dayton and has help Drew Brees become what he is now. It would undercut Taylor with the players from the very start..... True, he needs a change as much as we do. He could be a very good DC for some other team and might lighten up his eyes again. Looking at him from the time he got here til now looked like he aged like a POTUS does in a couple terms. RE: Bengals New Defense Coordinator - bfine32 - 01-19-2019 Why not bring back Zimmer? Adam, that is. RE: Bengals New Defense Coordinator - Sled21 - 01-19-2019 (01-19-2019, 11:05 AM)bfine32 Wrote: Why not bring back Zimmer? Adam, that is. RE: Bengals New Defense Coordinator - The Stars In Stripes - 01-25-2019 What if Del Rio brings Marv in for LB coach lol Marv probably on the phone with him telling him has found the next Peter Boulware! Marv should get a job somewhere else as either a DC or LB'er coach and he might do well. Just not here. |
