RE: O linemen still on the board. - BengalHawk62 - 04-30-2021 Jenkins, Eichenberg, or Cosmi are who I’m hoping falls to us tonight. Preferably one of the later two. Or we trade back and pick up an IOL later in the 2nd. How ya doin’ boys? Are we having fun yet? RE: O linemen still on the board. - fredtoast - 04-30-2021 I think most (but obviously not all) fans who wanted Sewell in the first will be satisfied with Chase as long as we go O-line at #38. I have not seen a huge meltdown here yet. But if we don't take an O-lineman next a lot of heads will start to explode RE: O linemen still on the board. - Bengalholic - 04-30-2021 (04-30-2021, 11:21 AM)BengalHawk62 Wrote: Jenkins, Eichenberg, or Cosmi are who I’m hoping falls to us tonight. I think he's extremely pro-ready and feel he might end up being one helluva guard, that could also give you insurance at T. RE: O linemen still on the board. - Waite Hoyt - 04-30-2021 Would love to land Teven Jenkins at 38. Many had him as a first round talent. He could start the year inside and if needed could also slide to tackle. RE: O linemen still on the board. - Au165 - 04-30-2021 Brandon Thorn knows OL so this is a good list to work off of.

It's too early to declare that Burrow will be running for his life in 2021, but until we actually draft all these o-linemen that we are ready willing and able to draft it remains too early to declare mission accomplished. No, there's no Oline left.... all is lost, all is lost.... RE: O linemen still on the board. - Big Boss - 04-30-2021 Pray for a run on defense leaving us the pick of the litter. RE: O linemen still on the board. - XenoMorph - 04-30-2021 Interestingly I saw a mock that has the best DT in the draft failing to us at 38 and us picking him up right there. and they gave us jackson carman in the 3rd RE: O linemen still on the board. - BurnsBengal - 04-30-2021 (04-30-2021, 12:07 PM)Au165 Wrote: Brandon Thorn knows OL so this is a good list to work off of. That is a good list. I am surprised he doesn't have Radunz there though as I think that could very easily be the pick. Everything I've read is he is progged as being excellent in a zone scheme. There really are a lot of excellent choices. You just never know how the Bengals coaches have them ranked and graded so definitely keeping an open mind and not set on "it has to be Jenkins or Humphery or whomever". RE: O linemen still on the board. - Big Boss - 04-30-2021 Word is Jenkins has a medical concern. Hip related. RE: O linemen still on the board. - Beaker - 04-30-2021 Give me Stone Forsythe...he has the best lineman name. RE: O linemen still on the board. - Boomer Anderson - 04-30-2021 I’m an old Ky fella and lifelong Bengal fan. I’m able to follow a lot of the SEC. Landon Dickerson is the best OL in this draft. He’s smart mean and a bully. He’s the kind of guy Pollack would love. He has the ACL issues but man I’d love to have this guy plowing the road in front of Mixon and calling the shots in front of Burrow. The ACL sucks but Trey is coming off same injury too. He’s way better than Price and somewhat better than Ragnow. We made the right pick. Shit, there is only 2 of those guys I wouldn't be crazy about in Cosmi cause is only a OT and Dickerson cause of his injury history. Love every player on this list for us and wouldn't be upset with the 2 guys I am not crazy about. Wanting Eichenberg and Meinerz the most though. Would also love Creed and Spencer Brown. We absolutely made the right choice. RE: O linemen still on the board. - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 04-30-2021 (04-30-2021, 02:17 PM)Sled21 Wrote: Creed Humphrie sounds like a no brainer to me. What a rock for us in the interior for years to come... Love Meinerz, but he will take time. Listen Jonah could turn into a good player but when you've played 10 out of 32 games you're not able to stay healthy and stay on the field. Until he can prove himself and play 16 games he'll have a label as injury prone. Reiff is the same age as when we let Whit walk because he was "too old". We sure as hell aren't going to resign a 34 yo OL for over $10M next season when we wouldn't give that to Whit in 2016 lol Agreed. I don't see many people saying that there isn't OL talent still available or that there's a lack of it in the draft. The problem is the lack OL talent on the team. We need to address the OL now. I have no problem with taking Chase first if at least the 2nd and 3rd pick are on OL. At best, our starters are an average OL. Our back ups are absolutely terrible and we're only 1 injury away from them protecting the franchise. You love to keep beating this drum but I don't see anyone saying there is no OL talent left in the draft. However, there is a serious lack of OL talent on the team. |
