Jordan Palmer was not a good QB but he has become a highly respected QB consultant and trainer.  He has worked with Burrow, Mahomes, Allen and several other big name QBs.  There are a lot of coaches that were not good players but excellent coaches.

Jordan Palmer runs the top QB off-season program and it's growing to including skill positions. He and Tom House put together the best throwing program in the NFL & MLB.

If you are interested Palmer runs tons of spring and summer camps across the country. They are 3 days at about $3,500 a day.

Jordan Palmer is one of the most well respected QB gurus in the game today. What a weird post.

lol@ ERIC1. Jordan was the founder of the RunPee App. "The app that tells you the best time to run and pee during a movie without missing the best scenes."

I also heard he has a passing camp but cannot verify, maybe someone else has heard of it.

well considering that a majority have graduated from college, we can assume half college graduates are illiterate, correct ?

coming from a failed QB in NFL, wondering who he is blaming...

For himself? Probably nobody. He was a 6th round pick from UTEP who played in the WAC and CUSA.

Parts of 6 years in the NFL in 53 man rosters, a couple years on PS, and some years in other leagues is a pretty good career for a 6th round QB.

Most people don't refer to late round picks as prospects. Just like how low ranked guys in baseball farm systems aren't called prospects. Prospects means you actually have expectation of hitting it big.

It's so disappointing.

The Bengals almost exclusively draft team captains in the Zac Taylor era, especially in the early rounds (Jonah Williams, Drew Sample, Germaine Pratt, Joe Burrow, Logan Wilson, Joseph Ossai, Cam Taylor Britt, Zach Carter), and if they weren't team captains, they were squeaky clean players like Dax Hill and Tee Higgins.

The two times they notably divert from that strategy, taking Jackson Carman despite knowing he had a potential rape case pending on him (as announced at his pro day, iirc), and Jermaine Burton's coachability concerns (and hotheadedness, exemplified by him pushing random fans after a loss), the picks have blown up in their faces.

I hope they don't make any more picks like this.

Maybe he can come back and have a good off season and be a contributor in 2025. But at this point, I would assume I'm getting nothing out of him, move forward with your off season strategy with that in mind (*cough* sign Higgins *cough*), and then if he provides value in 2025, it'll be like found money.

We literally have a HC who couldn’t even make it off a CFL practice squad. Ninja

Oh C'mon.. Burton is the greatest thing since moldy sliced bread..almost.  I wonder if there's any moldy sliced bread they can sign..

On the flip side I don’t want a team full of choirboys either. Just have to find the right balance.

Welp...WR just became an even need this off-season.

Look, at this point the cost is already sunk. We picked him. But the idea that he is gonna take the place ofca departed Higgins? That ship has sailed.

That was (another) reason why I hated the pick. Not just because it was a big swing. But even if it connected, it was a wash. It presupposes letting Tee walk. Yes, I know we could have saved some $$ and spent it elsewhere.

But we could have just taken McMillan and replaced Boyd.

Anyway, for me, I don't cut him. I try to work with him and see if he can mature. As long as he is a knucklehead and not a cancer, anyway. But he is WR6. Chuck Sizzle (if healthy) and Williams should start getting his snaps. And I certainly think about a slot receiver or TE in the draft. And I'd be more inclined to pay Gesicki to be the #3 receiving option.

I hope he isn't a washout but I start planning like he is. 1 more year of knuckleheadedness and he IS gone.

West had a mental illness. And was a much better/more productive player. But I get it.

But Burton has 4/107 on the year.

Evidence of absence is kinda difficult.

Not really, the world of science and psychology has come up with an array of tests to determine one's level of cognitive function and ability. The classic I.Q. test is one of them.
