We should beat the Panthers, but Brian Burns is salivating right now.

They need to do it the second they are able. He’s the least explosive back in the game.

Burrow 8-2 with a 100+ yard game from Chase and 11-16-1 without a 100+ yard game from Chase. Zac Taylor's record is even worse.

Jonah and Spain were legit good

Reiff was ok, Hopkins wasn’t a liability.

It was pretty much only RG that was a big problem until Reiff got injured

Now it’s Jonah, Volson, and Collins all playing terribly

Jonah gave up 10 sacks last year.  Spain had a PFF grade of 59 in passing blocking in the regular season and an even worse PFF in the 40s in the playoffs.  Neither were great.   The line as a whole gave up over 70 sacks last year.   Lets not have a revisionist history here.

I don’t want to repeat myself, but I guess I have to because you people have a hard time with reading comprehension

The line WITH Reiff healthy was better than the current line

Spain before the injury and playoffs was a very good run blocker, and a ok pass protector. 59 pass block grade would be good on this line

Jonah would struggle sometimes, but he was reliable more often than not, and he was a good run blocker

Now he’s completely fallen off, Volson is a 4th round rookie who stinks, and Collins stinks

Literally only Karas and Cappa are doing their jobs

He’s also quite possibly the worst RB I’ve ever seen at pass protection. Like ever.

Wrong. Jonah Williams has been inconsistent as a run blocker and last year gave up 10 sacks and over 40 pressures which is Bobby Hart numbers.

PFF and Fans pointed to pass block efficiency as a plus for William's in 2021/22 but he still gave up more negative plays than any Bengals Offensive Lineman.

Jonah was an above average LT last season. That’s just a fact

You can’t cope with the fact that the o-line was better last year before Reiff went down

Jonah had a solid pass block efficiency but he gave up 10 sacks and well over 40 pressures not to mention more TFLs than every other player on the Bengals offensive line in 2021/22. Jonah Williams gave up a ton of negative plays and in 2022 that has continued.

You and I both know some of those sacks are on Burrow

Jonah was an above average lineman playing the most difficult position on the line. Now he’s turned into a pumpkin in 2022

Jonah had a bad night but the scheme asked alot of him vs one of the best DE in the NFL...

Having to play against "One of the best in the NFL" is a friggin excuse we hear every other week for the poor Oline play when they get dominated.  We heard that excuse in the playoffs last year.  We have heard it in the losses this year.  They had to go up against Watt, they had to go up against Parsons, they had to go up against Garrett, they had to go up against Donald, they had to go up against Crosby, they had to go up against fill in the blank excuse.

How about instead of hearing excuses week after week, the Bengals do something about the poor O-line play.  The Bengals are not the only team that plays the Browns or Cowboys or Steeler or Rams yet it seems most other NFL teams dont have near the problems in pass protection as the Bengals do playing these same teams.

Perine hâd 1 rush for 7 yards, Mixon ran 8 for 27. Why aren't we running Perine more? Yeah sample size is not big enough, but Jesus we've given MIxon enough chances. Give Perine a whole game and give Mixon 1 rush. Can he handle being benched for a game?

Thats debatable.  The Oline last year was very bad even before Reiff got injured.

59 is not a good pass blocking PFF grade.  It is below average, which Spain was.  Spain was never good in pass protection even before his "injury"  You continue to use this injury excuse as some kind of justification of your claim that Spain was this good pass blocker before he got injured.  The fact is he wasnt good in the regular season or in the playoffs.  He did worse in the playoffs when he had to face better defenses.

Dude, Spain is better than Volson. It’s that simple. Reiff was better than current Collins. And 2021 Jonah is better than 2022 Jonah

The line is worse than last year’s line with a healthy Reiff

The Bengals just lost to that team, badly. I'd be embarrassed to say i was a Bengals player after that national performance. It goes down with any other "worst loss" you can imagine in team history. And there's a lot of them to draw from.

***** embarrassing.

You wanted a link to a former Bengals player warning Joe pre-draft about this franchise’s commitment to winning it all (as was my claim) and I delivered.

Look believe what you want, but there’s a reason why prior to last season this franchise hasn’t won a playoff game in 2 decades…and that’s with plenty of opportunities.

Last year’s team was probably hands down the most talented roster this franchise has seen for a long time, if not ever. Winning had 100% to do with who was on the field and not coaching from the sidelines.

I can’t help but feel that a deeper scouting department and seasoned experienced coaches would have addressed the o-line issues prior to the start of last season. Not to mention the numerous games that were lost by poor decisions by Taylor. Play calling has been boring and anemic. 4th down conversion percentage this year is so bad it has to be bordering on the worst in NFL history.

It never made any sense to pick such a young inexperienced HC with zero veteran support to lead a team that would be in the running for drafting a new young QB early in the draft.

We are where we are because we have a HC trying to learn how to call an offense while a new to the NFL QB is trying to learn how to play against NFL defenses.

All points to the Brown family consistently believing they are smarter than everyone else and refusing to follow the tried and true way of doing things.
