Carter reads, reacts and gets downhill so quickly that blockers can have a difficult time reaching him on zone runs. He slips blocks and sifts through traffic without taking his eyes off the ball carrier. Carter ran well on his pro day, which shows up on his film when he's chasing inside out. In pass coverage, he keeps up with tight ends and can pick up running backs in the flat. Carter effectively spies the QB, too, with 12.5 sacks over the past three seasons. He's quick and closes well when rushing off the edge or between the tackles. -- Steve Muench

I mentioned last night that I was listening to RD 2 on Sirius. When we took Knight, Milz said "inside info" says we're not happy with Wilson. Of course, we cannot get rid of him this year.
Also, it might indicate Golden plans to go to a 4-3-4 instead of a 4-2-5

I'm cool with Barrett Carter. It plays with Golden wanting to move away from the 2 LB alignments to more of a 4-3 base. To do that he needs a retooled LB room.

Unless they want a linebacker in coverage vs a slot receiver regularly I wouldn't suggest it lol. The NFL is a heavy 11 personnel league.

Bengals must think they need more than 2 linebackers going forward.
Maybe they expect to play more 4-3 or 3-4 to defend the run better

It's been said since the hire that he would have a lot more packages with 3 linebackers than what we're used to here.

Logan's one of the best LBs in the league, he's going nowhere.
