RE: ***Official 2017 NFL Draft Day Thread*** - Beaker - 04-27-2017 We needed to get a game changer with this first pick....hopefully Ross turns out to be one. But I have visions of KiJana Carter dancing in my skull. RE: ***Official 2017 NFL Draft Day Thread*** - Joelist - 04-27-2017 Is Ross even healthy right now? Or did we once again waste a first rounder on a redshirt? RE: ***Official 2017 NFL Draft Day Thread*** - leonardfan40 - 04-27-2017 (04-27-2017, 10:32 PM)Joelist Wrote: That pick just leaves me cold...will they NEVER understand that you build winners from the lines out? Only lineman even close to being worth the pick was Allen and he isn't falling for no reason. Believe I heard the Bengals liked his character but weren't as high on the player as the draft "experts" RE: ***Official 2017 NFL Draft Day Thread*** - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 04-27-2017 Some of you guys i swear just want to ***** no matter the pick. There would of been lots bitching if we took Allen or Hooker. Bottomline is we needed a gamebreaker opposite AJ Green just like we needed an End opposite Carlos Dunlap. These are needs. Allen just didn't fit what we needed i guess, him being more of a 3 tech DT than a 4-3 End. Hooker only played one year of ball and is talented but extremely raw and Safety was not a need. John Ross says his knees feel better now than before he tore them, he ran the fastest forty of all time effortlessly on them. He scored a TD 1 out of every 5 times he caught at ball at Washington and we NEED frickin' speed at WR. And John Ross is not just speed, keep comparing him to Heyward Bey and Dri Archer, go ahead. This guy is a football player, an all around great receiver! :andy: Andy Dalton, AJ Green and the whole team approves of this pick. Green is our possession receiver, and he is quite sure handed... Yeah...the funny thing is I felt like we were good at WR with Green, Lafell, Boyd, and Core. Ross is likely a #4 or 5 WR next year. Clearly the WR are ranked higher by NFL scout this year than what is being told by the media. What are you talking about? Hes not sure handed? He has great hands and is a pretty complete wide receiver. Hes not going to be a possession receiver for us. Hes a burner. He stretches the field. He runs a 4.2 for crying out loud. RE: ***Official 2017 NFL Draft Day Thread*** - zygrot24 - 04-27-2017 Horrible pick at 9. The kid is more injury prone than eifert. Could have traded way back and still got him. Just a bad pick. Doubt he even play this year. RE: ***Official 2017 NFL Draft Day Thread*** - bfine32 - 04-27-2017 Hey, my bold predictions in the Bold predictions thread were: We would go offense with our first 3 picks Peppers would go before Hooker RE: ***Official 2017 NFL Draft Day Thread*** - WeezyBengal - 04-27-2017 (04-27-2017, 10:39 PM)THE PISTONS Wrote: Some teams took him off their boards. RE: ***Official 2017 NFL Draft Day Thread*** - Joelist - 04-27-2017 So what is his health situation right now? Did we just waste a pick on a redshirt? RE: ***Official 2017 NFL Draft Day Thread*** - Bengal Dude - 04-27-2017 Urban says that Ross reminds him of DeSean Jackson. |
