I definitely agree. Seeing a minute and change "drive" when we are nursing a lead in the fourth that goes - incomplete pass, 2 yard pass, sack, punt is not good at all. RE: A positive - Chase Brown - Forever Spinning Vinyl - 12-28-2024 Saw an interesting QB stat line that kind of shows the importance of having an offensive line built for the running game. It also shows two different eras. 61.7% completion percentage - 7 TDs 12 INTs - 7.9 yards per attempt - 10.9% sack percentage - 78.7 rating 61.5% completion percentage - 7 TDs - 4 INTs - 6.1 yards per attempt - 6.3% sack percentage - 82.5 rating Line one is Turk Schonert - 5-2 starting record Line two is Brandon Allen - 1-5 starting record Here's another one . . . Boomer Esiason has played for three winning teams 1986, 1988 and 1990. Those teams were #1, #2 or #3 in total rushing yards. When Boomer didn't have a dominant running game, he was a losing QB outside of a 4-1 stretch at the end of his 14th and final season. 80-93 as a starter for his career. Get an O-line built for the running game. Get Chase Brown a partner. Get a new Head Coach. RE: A positive - Chase Brown - reuben.ahmed - 12-28-2024 Hoping his ankle injury is temporary. RE: A positive - Chase Brown - bfine32 - 12-28-2024 That "slide" though RE: A positive - Chase Brown - iLLuSi0nz - 12-28-2024 (12-28-2024, 10:29 PM)bfine32 Wrote: That "slide" though He been watching Joe ![]() RE: A positive - Chase Brown - Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 - 12-28-2024 Hope Chase is good to go. Mims as well. McPherson, too. Hope Herbert did enough to earn some PT next week. RE: A positive - Chase Brown - Synric - 12-28-2024 Not a fan of tight rope surgery. Seems like those guys deal with ankles injuries more often. RE: A positive - Chase Brown - Nicomo Cosca - 12-28-2024 10 yards short of 1K. What a ***** bummer. RE: A positive - Chase Brown - Big Boss - 12-28-2024 Prayer circle all week. RE: A positive - Chase Brown - ochocincos - 12-28-2024 IF CB doesn't play the final game of the season due to ankle injury, he will finish the regular season at 1350 yards from scrimmage and 11 TDs on 283 touches. Pretty solid for a guy who started the year with limited touches as RB2. RE: A positive - Chase Brown - Nicomo Cosca - 12-29-2024

RE: A positive - Chase Brown - Destro - 12-29-2024 Good Chase Brown news. Hopefully it was one of those horrible pain when it happened but heal fast kind of things. Ah, to be young. RE: A positive - Chase Brown - ochocincos - 12-29-2024 To compare CB's production this year with other Bengal RBs of the past decade: CB - 283 touches, 1350 yards, 11 TDs (4.8 YPT) Mixon's best season with CIN - 334 touches, 1519 yards, 16 TDs (4.5 YPT) Hill's best season with CIN - 249 touches, 1339 yards, 9 TDs (5.4 YPT) Bernard's best season with CIN - 226 touches, 1209 yards, 8 TDs (5.3 YPT) So CB has been the 2nd most productive RB in Cincy in the past decade. All these dudes were 2nd round picks too aside from CB. And Mixon did not reach his peak performance until his 5th season, although he did have 1464 yards and 9 TDs on 280 touches in his 2nd year. Hill and Bernard's most productive seasons were their rookie years. Even if you're much less productive on a per-touch basis. Hill had a nearly 50-50 split with Bernard (249 vs 211) Bernard had a nearly 50-50 split with BJGE (226 to 224) Brown has nearly a 75-25 split with Moss (283 to 97) - - - - - - That's a bit like saying Cedric Benson was more productive in 2010 (349 touches to Scott's 72) than Bernard was in 2013. Sure Benson had 80 more scrimmage yards, but he also had 123 more touches. Same with guys like Jerome Bettis who were just volume merchants on a mediocre offense held up by a great defense. 368 touches at 3.9 yards per touch in 2000 is still enough to put him ahead of Chase Brown with 1,438 yards from scrimmage.. but it took him 100 more touches to get there. - - - - - - - - I'm still ready to give him a healthy workload next year, but we need another RB to pair with him that'll get a pretty substantial amount of touches (and to clean out the entire rest of the RB room).
