Sounds like the perfect fit, cannot help but have good thoughts about this guy for the future. Seth is a very cerebral and technical player. I don't know if he'll make a splash in the NFL, but I'm pulling for him. I'm not sure that he's physically cut out for facing NTs on a regular basis, but he's pretty smart and effective versus even fronts. Those 31" arms are somewhat limiting for him. Luckily he's a C, so the arm length is the least important for him, compared to other OL. Linderbaum had the same issue. I am pulling for him as well, very likable fella and he is smart as that is one of his big time strengths. It is okay to be stubby at Center as long as you can make up for it with technique which is also a strong suit of his. We should have some very good competition for backup Center at the very least now with both McLaughlin and Lee. RE: Notes from Voluntary Practice - jj22 - 05-09-2025 I don’t know if it’s because I fear holes still in the roster, but I’m feeling like a nice chunk of the udfa can stick. I might like that class better than the draft class (initially). RE: Notes from Voluntary Practice - CottonHill - 05-10-2025 No comment on Stewart and Knight not practicing? Tradition RE: Notes from Voluntary Practice - Bilbo Saggins - 05-10-2025 Pickens on the Steelers gets shipped off to Siberia. Burton on the Bengals still hangs around until or unless the police come and physically take him away. Just saying. Imagine Burton being under any Super Bowl champion regime and hanging around as he has here. It just doesn't happen on legitimate championship contenders. There are no pajama star types who hang around. Imagine the psychological effect that it has on other players that Burton hasn't been shit canned yet. That the FO looks back on Pacman being a good signing or something when he shit the bed like a (nine censored words in row). This is not a serious Super Bowl contender team jmho. They are going to waste Burrow's career just as they did Geno's and Whitworth's because they go along to get along. They have yet to prove me wrong. Getting traded to the Dallas Cowboys isn’t quite like being sent to Siberia, even in the NFL. In fact for a wide receiver, he’s going to a place where he has an actual QB Burton is coming off his rookie season and has a very short leash. I for one would like to see if he has figured things out before he gets dumped by the team RE: Notes from Voluntary Practice - BoomerFan - 05-10-2025 (05-09-2025, 04:56 PM)Synric Wrote: Burton must have seen Joe Burrow get three of his receivers receivers nice contracts this off-seasons including two 100+ mil contracts. I'm skeptical. Someone who cares about this guy should tell him the story of Chris Henry. I know there is a lot of love for Chris on these boards but he is a case of someone who got a lot of chances and made bad decisions over and over. And Slim was relatively together compared to Burton. To me it feels like when not if Burton does something else destructive to his life, those around him, and this team. I agree Pally, see if he can grow up and be contribute. If not, then cut him. I also agee he is on a short lease. On Pickens, strage comment made by the poster you responded. Siberia would have been trshing Pickens so no NFL team would give him a shot again in the NFL, then cut him. I still remember the playoff game when Palmer through a bomb to Henry, I am at the game and place is goig wild. I see out of the corner of my eye Palmer laying on the ground. Then to add insult to injury, Henry injured his knee on the same play. Henry's issues seemed to be off the field, but maybe someone else remembers something I missed. I don't know what it is with Pit and Malcontent WRs. Recent ones who come to mind are; Antonio Brown Claypool Dionte Johnson Pickens. I do give them credit for parting ways with them. RE: Notes from Voluntary Practice - psychdoctor - 05-10-2025 After watching the rookies minicamp locker room interview, I was impressed with the presentation by Barrett who presents himself as a team captain already and Brooks. Shemar Stewart on the other hand presented himself like a middle schooler RE: Notes from Voluntary Practice - psychdoctor - 05-10-2025 Also, I am hearing that shemar Stewart 's. Agent is not liked by many in the NFL. |
