Wrong Sax has a Reed which makes it a woodwind. I used to play an Auto and Tenor and they were both considered woodwinds. Maceo Parker is the king of funky sax. Played with James Brown. Then moved on to George Clintons Parliament/Funkadelic. Then became Prince's sax man. I saw him play with Fred Wesley (trombone) in some funky combo back in the 90's and they absolutely burned the place down. One of the best live shows I have ever seen.
