Why no Aubrey Pleasant? - THE PISTONS - 02-16-2019 The Rams granted us permission to interview him. I'm unclear on if we actually did interview him. He seems like he'd come. He's considered an up-and-coming coach. A guy like Grantham was pretty mediocre in the NFL. Why not go with Pleasant? RE: Why no Aubrey Pleasant? - Earendil - 02-16-2019 Because Dre wanted him. That's the kiss of death as we all know. RE: Why no Aubrey Pleasant? - THE PISTONS - 02-16-2019 Well the Bengals atleast liked him enough to interview him. Were there any reports of how that interview went? RE: Why no Aubrey Pleasant? - McC - 02-16-2019 (02-16-2019, 11:47 AM)THE PISTONS Wrote: Well the Bengals atleast liked him enough to interview him. Oddly enough, that seems to be the one thing that isn't front page news. Honestly, I can't even find confirmation that he actually interviewed here. What I know is the Rams granted him permission. I can infer he interviewed as players showed support...but nothing official. Also, I'm unclear if Marquand Manaul interviewed. Mike Nolan was another guy that was supposedly in the mix. Nothing on if he ever interviewed. RE: Why no Aubrey Pleasant? - bengaloo - 02-16-2019 They are probably working out his contract as we speak. I hope so. It is getting a little hard to see this no DC fiasco as a good start for our new coach. Look at as a mettle test right outa the gate. RE: Why no Aubrey Pleasant? - psychdoctor - 02-16-2019 It is because "Pleasant" is not a great name for a DC and Taylor would rather have someone like "Stonebreaker" who would strike fear in the minds of opponents. But seriously, if it is not Pleasant, keep an eye on Ejiro Evero, he was my dark-horse picks weeks ago and still my favorite.
