pick 5 - Goalpost - 03-15-2019

So this is an unusual year where we have 5 6th round picks. No mention of trading in this thread. Pick the 5 players you would take with these choices. I left RBs, Cs and QBs off the list and kickers as well. I used a big board that I follow....

DT...Ed Alexander, Demarcus Christmas, Terry Beckner

DE...Johnathan Ledbetter, Porter Gustin, Shareef Miller, Landis Durham, Corbin Kaufusi

OLB..Sutton Smith, Cody Barton, Terrill Hanks, Kendall joseph

ILB...Joe Giles-Harris, Otaro Alaka, Ryan Connelly, T J Edwards, Khalil Hodge, Tyrel Dodson

Edge..Emeke Egbule, Ben Benogu, Jalen Jelks

CB..Biessuan Austin, Montre Hartage, Keisean Nixon, Jimmy Moreland, Donnie Lewis, Jamaal Peters

S..Mike Edwards, Darius West, Ladarius Wiley, Andrew Wingard, Lukas Dennis, Malik Gant, Saquan Hampton

T...Derwin Gray, Jackson Barton

G..Martez Ivy, Hjalte Froholdt, Keaton Sutherland, Deion Calhoun, Nate Herbig, Javon Patterson, Issua Opeta, Alex Bars

TE..Caleb Wilson, Isaac Nauta, Dax Raymond

WR..Johnnie Dixon, Gary Jennings, Tony Pollard, Jalen Hurd, Terry Godwin, Darius Slayton, Ryan Davis, Lil'Jordon Humphrey
……..Diontae Johnson, Tyre Brady, Cody Thompson

This is kind of for fun but curious what players you know about. And again the basis of the thread is that we have 5 picks here.

RE: pick 5 - shanebo - 03-18-2019

Interesting thread. There are several guys I like on your list, but I think I'd have to go with (in order of preference):
- Nate Herbig, OG - eventual NFL starter
- Jalen Jelks, Edge - starting potential
- Isaac Nauta, TE - do-all TE
- Jalen Hurd, WR - great size and potential
- TJ Edwards, LB - should be good back-up at minimum

I think Herbig and Jelks (and maybe Hurd) will go before 6. Contingent picks would be Shareef Miller, DE; Mike Edwards, S; and/or Darius Slayton, WR.
