To offset the initial learning curve for Jones, I brought in Mannion who is familiar with Taylor and he could provide a bridge to Jones as well as some mentoring.  As much as I hate to say this, I don't know if this team even with a strong draft can compete this year.  I think we are a year away.

What specifically about Grier "terrifies" you?

For me, I see a lot of Andy Dalton in his game but with a better deep ball.
I don't understand the "forcing of the hand" comment, as Grier passed for a high completion percentage, a lot of yards, a lot of TDs, and few INTs. Sure, he had a couple bad games, but every QB does.
