Honestly the amount of 5th year options being declined on that draft is actually a sign of how wrong many teams got it. In reality we did well in that drafty and I think it started a little bit of a rebound in terms of drafting coming off a couple bad years.

For a team who's overall roster quality lives and dies by the draft, they pretty much have to nail it, every year. As we noticed from the botched 2015 draft, all that it takes is a couple of botched high round picks to send what was a proud position group into oblivion.
