In the history of the franchise there have only been 7 seasons when both the Steelers and Bengals finished with a record of .500 or worse '71, '85, '91, '98, '99, '03, '06. During those 7 seasons the Bengals have gone 7-7 against the Steelers, but two of the losses have been in overtime ('91, '06).
The biggest margin of victory by either team was 13 when the '85 Bengals won 37-24 on MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.
Both teams finished 7-9 that year.
