Is Mark Barron a terrible idea? - McC - 03-17-2020 Steelers released him. Read up on him a bit. Decent against the run. Good athleticism. Good in zone coverage, struggles in man to man down the field. Is it just too ridiculous an idea to even consider? I thought they'd sign him after getting to FA from the Rams. He's better than anyone on the roster right now besides probably a younger Pratt. There's still a few other lower tier LB's out there that they'll have to sign. He's on the same tier as Vigil. Probably someone you prefer as depth who can spot start when needed. RE: Is Mark Barron a terrible idea? - bengalfan74 - 03-17-2020 I can't say I really know much about him but surely he can shove Hardy Nickerson out. RE: Is Mark Barron a terrible idea? - Bilbo Saggins - 03-18-2020 Mark Barron may well be worth a sniff. The only problem I see with scooping up a ton of dudes who were released is that the medical staff can't evaluate them during this FA period. Someone out there is going to sign a lemon. |
