Eagles make Darius Slay highest paid CB?? - SunsetBengal - 03-20-2020
What am I not seeing about Slay that enticed the Eagles to (in my opinon) supremely overpay for a guy that had one huge year, and has been pretty average otherwise? Heck, he only graded out at 56 on PFF last season, and was still elected to the "Pro Bowl". I just don't see the worth in a guy that had one anomaly season, but evidently the Eagles front office felt pressured to make a "splash move" of some sort.
On another note, it sure is nice to see the Bengals making nice free agent moves for a change, and other teams throwing big bank at players that likely won't live up to the money.

ESPN's Josina Anderson first reported Wednesday night that the Eagles and Slay were working on the framework of a three-year extension.
The three-year, $50 million extension has an annual average value of $16.67 million, making Slay the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL, just ahead of Miami's Byron Jones, whose five-year, $82.5 million deal has an annual average value of $16.5 million.
