NFL/NFLPA preliminary training camp agreement - pally - 07-24-2020 1) All preseason games canceled 2) on field practice to begin Aug 17 max 14 days in pads 3) 2 weeks of an acclimation period to include 8 days of strength and conditioning as well as walk thrus 4 days of shells and helmets only 4) roster to be cut to 80 either before vets report or before the 16th 5) practice squads to increase to 16 players, 6 can be vested vets (maybe a spot for a still unsigned Dennard) 6) no play no pay...a canceled game or season results in no paycheck; players may opt out of season with a stipend..they have 10 days to decide 7) 2021 salary cap to be a minimum of $175 million. If that ends up the number there will be a whole lot of vets on the street. a $20 million drop from this season= 1 AJ Green 8) benefit cuts through 2022 season I'm sure there will be more information coming out once it is officially ratified (NFLPA voting starts 3:30) RE: NFL/NFLPA preliminary training camp agreement - George Cantstandya - 07-24-2020 (07-24-2020, 05:03 PM)pally Wrote: 4) roster to be cut to 80 either before vets report or before the 16th That's going to really kill the chances of undrafted players that were signed. Also I wonder how much it really matters cutting it from 90 to 80 will do. I mean is 10 less players really going to make a big impact when it comes to curbing Covid? |
