Fines/Suspensions for Game 2 Cubs - cinci4life - 08-31-2020

Both Bell and Winker received a 1 game suspension and undisclosed fine while Votto got an undisclosed fine for "leaving the bench and contributing to the incitement of the fourth-inning incident." Cubs coach Mike Borzello also received a one-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for "excessive arguing, using inappropriate language and failing to leave the dugout" Someone please explain to me how in the blue hell Rizzo didn't get anything for instigating the whole thing to begin with? What a damn joke.

Rizzo was on the field and didn't have to be stupid enough to leave the dugout and run onto the field.  The only real question is why Votto didn't get suspended too.

Rizzo being on the field already is irrelevant. There was no reason for him to say anything to Bell. Do you think the Reds players were just going to sit there and do nothing? I have no problem with them coming out to protect their manager. If Rizzo says nothing nobody leaves the benches but he couldn't help himself. Just don't understand how MLB doesn't get that.

Protect their idiot manager from what?  Votto and Winker were just plain stupid, no matter how you try to spin it.  Rizzo broke no rules.  Votto and Winker did.  How lame is it to lose your shit over a few words?

Actually Rizzo did and it's called instigating but MLB was too stupid to call him out on it. And it's not lame at all for teammates to have each others backs.

Have each other's backs against what?  Words?  Are they really so delicate that they can be mentally crushed by a guy saying come on, let's just play ball.  Baseball players can really be a bunch of twats.  What is this mythical beast they have to save each other from?

They asked the Cubs and they were like "no, no, no, leave him in, leave him in.
