RE: PFF Grades - Wyche'sWarrior - 10-26-2020

Pretty sad when your top graded defender was signed off the street THIS week.

I won't complain about it though.  I'll take what I can get

He had a couple nice run stops, and one where he made a great read that helped someone else make a tackle on the outside. Other than that, not much.

True. Not a knock on Margus at all....more telling about others....

RE: PFF Grades - Wes Mantooth - 10-26-2020

Can we please get rid of Fred Johnson? At least move him down to the practice squad?

We've signed a number of guys off the street that have done at least somewhat ok. Can we not do the same here? Literally sign anyone else, and drop this bum.

RE: PFF Grades - GreenCornBengal - 10-26-2020

Bobby Hart and Michael Jordan redemption week. Very odd lol

I remember saying he wasn’t any good last year and was lambasted for it.

He isn’t any good. He hasn’t ever been any good. The fact that he looked “ok” last year was because of the rest of the offensive line being worse.

RE: PFF Grades - ochocincos - 10-26-2020

OL grades vs Browns @ PBS:
Hart - 83.6
Jordan - 75.3
Williams - 68.3
Redmond - 62.1
Hopkins - 60.9
Price - 60.4
Johnson - 42.5

The good performances by Hart and Jordan have boosted them in their full-season ratings to now have 4 OL with a rating of 60+:
Williams - 74.8 (27th OT in league)
Hart - 70.6 (37th OT) - finally over 70!
Michael Jordan - 60.1 (46th G) - finally over 60!
Trey Hopkins - 63.1 (27th C)

If you add XSF (75.5) and/or Spain (60.6) - you have a full OL that is 60+, with your OTs being 70+.

If the Bengals can maintain that level through the rest of the season (still have PITx2, BAL), OL may not be quite as big of an immediate need in the offseason as we thought a month ago.

Let's see if we're still feeling that way after they face the Pittsburgh front 7 here shortly.

Pick, fumble, sacks. He made his mistakes that weigh his grade down.

I agree, but they've played two pretty good defensive fronts in consecutive weeks and shown well enough to win both games. Just average is better than what we've been seeing.

Looked like he was eating more celery and veggies. Played pretty well for what his responsibilities were and looked the part.
