1500 receiving yards, 18.0 avg, 10 tds - fredtoast - 01-03-2022 Only done twice in NFL history Roy Green (1984) 1555 yds... 19.9 avg... 12 tds Jerry Rice (1986) 1570 yds... 18.3 avg... 15 tds Chase on pace for 1518 yds... 18.1 avg... 14 tds RE: 1500 receiving yards, 18.0 avg, 10 tds - fredtoast - 01-03-2022 Even if Joe and most of the starters rest next week I think Chase gets the 11 receiving yards he needs to break Chad's single season team record of 1440. It would take 172 yards vs the Browns, so obviously not happening (think his career high is 138). I doubt he cares too much tbh. Would have been cool to get all 3 there, but I’m sure he’s more focused on his first ever playoff appearance. He also might not be the big play guy like the other two, but he’s now made it through an entire 16 games without a single drop. That’s a pretty impressive stat itself. Last guy who played significant time on both offense and defense. (WR/DB) In 1981 he had 708 receiving yards and 3 interceptions. Over his career he scored tds receiving, rushing, returning punts, and returning kick offs. With a big asterisk. RE: 1500 receiving yards, 18.0 avg, 10 tds - fredtoast - 01-03-2022 (01-03-2022, 11:39 AM)Chezaugie Wrote: With a big asterisk. There were no asterisks when the season went from 14 games to 16 games in 1978, so there will be none now. There was no asterisk beside Collinsworth's name when he broke Isaac Curtis's rookie record. It can (and may be) always be changed. They still have single season records on a "per game" basis, but there will be no asterisks on "season total" records just because we now have a 17 game season. |
