I've met Joe Thomas twice when I lived in Westlake, Ohio.
He was a class act each time, and was especially nice around the little kids (my little brother won a contest to take Joe Thomas to his elementary school), and he stayed after class to sign autographs and take photos with the kids.

I find it odd the site says he "instantly regrets it" but shows no actual reaction from him.....or maybe i missed it.
