Joe Burrow wins comeback player of the year - Wyche'sWarrior - 01-28-2022 https://www.si.com/nfl/bengals/news/joe-burrow-wins-pfwa-comeback-player-of-the-year-award Well deserved..... RE: Joe Burrow wins comeback player of the year - JaggedJimmyJay - 01-28-2022 Still just PFWA, not the official NFL award. Cool and deserved, just ensuring it's clear. RE: Joe Burrow wins comeback player of the year - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 01-28-2022 Yeah, he could of won MVP too, Joe was that good this season and still in the Playoffs. I bet either Rodgers or Brady get the MVP but Burrow is in the discussion IMO. Same with Jonathan Taylor who had a fantastic year rushing the football. RE: Joe Burrow wins comeback player of the year - ochocincos - 01-28-2022 If postseason is included, I'd argue Burrow is more deserving than Rodgers. Rodgers played very well, but he wasn't the only reason that team went 13-3. It wasn't like he threw a ton to get his team a bunch of wins. He only passed for 225 yards, 0 TDs on 29 attempts against the 49ers last week. Burrow had 348 yards against the Titans, and some of his passes are why the Bengals were able to win that game. I'd probably give it to Brady before Rodgers even if Burrow doesn't get it. The Bucs literally had to rely on the passing game all year. Brady threw for an incredible 5316 yards, 43 TDs, just 12 INTs all regular season. He nearly brought the team back last week against the Rams in a game that looked like an easy Rams win. Yeah, Brady deserves it, those are some crazy stats and that was another great comeback for his team last week. Does anyone know how often the NFL and PFWA award recipients differ? RE: Joe Burrow wins comeback player of the year - Shake n Blake - 01-28-2022 I feel like comeback is often used as a consolation prize to MVP, but still nice to see our guys get recognition. They deserve it, no doubt. RE: Joe Burrow wins comeback player of the year - MasonDT70 - 01-28-2022 (01-28-2022, 08:05 PM)Awful Llama Wrote: Congrats to Joe. I believe someone said in the rookie of the year one that they've only differed once for that particular award. Seems to be a strong correlation between the two. RE: Joe Burrow wins comeback player of the year - jason - 01-29-2022 Don't call it a comeback, I've been here for years... RE: Joe Burrow wins comeback player of the year - Go Cards - 01-29-2022 the comeback of the year award will look good next to Joe's SB MVP award.
