Question about Bell's Penalty - BengalFanInNJ - 02-14-2022

Bell was called for Unnecessary Roughness for his hit to Kupp's head. Kupp was slow to get up. The rule is, a player who receives a hit like that HAS to go into concussion protocol. He should have been out of the game the next few plays.

The Helmet-to-Helmet hit was a big turn too that people don't talk about because there was an offensive holding on that play.

Even with how bad our line played...we had our chances and just didn't execute.

To be fair, it would have still been 1st and Goal at the 4 still.

Good point, I hadn't thought about that. Tony Dungy was ripping the refs on Twitter.

Would it? I thought their line held? So wouldn't that have been a 10 yard penalty from the previous spot?

This is correct.  First and Goal from the 14 yard line.
