Anarumo - Carter to start out as traditional DT - ochocincos - 04-30-2022
While Carter has some position versatility, it looks like the Bengals want him to first focus on being a DT before potentially swinging outside. RE: Anarumo - Carter to start out as traditional DT - Go Cards - 04-30-2022 Think its a great pick and love Carter's theory that him against a Guard on a passing down is a mismatch. RE: Anarumo - Carter to start out as traditional DT - psychdoctor - 04-30-2022 I think Carter had 16 sacks. He's a player from the SEC. I didn't know much about him but the Cincinnati Bengals have a good record on pick picking defense lineman later in the draft RE: Anarumo - Carter to start out as traditional DT - Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 - 04-30-2022 I think the Carter pick is a reach. Now we are asking him to play a position he has not played much. Smells like Carman redux. Hill is an A. CTB is a B (Dean). Carter is a C/D. RE: Anarumo - Carter to start out as traditional DT - grampahol - 04-30-2022 He MIGHT start out in the middle, but I think it's likely they will decide as the preseason goes forward exactly how they're going to initially use him.. You do a cursory analysis, and sometimes less, check some raitings and what talking heads are saying, then ignore what our coaches are doing/saying. Gives me a helluva laugh every year. RE: Anarumo - Carter to start out as traditional DT - bengalfan74 - 04-30-2022 I'd guess he's going to swing back and forth from DT to DE depending on who needs spelled and the down and distance in the game. Unless he really shines at one spot. RE: Anarumo - Carter to start out as traditional DT - ochocincos - 04-30-2022 (04-30-2022, 12:47 PM)psychdoctor Wrote: I think Carter had 16 sacks. Sports Reference had him at 17.0. Sack distribution by year according to Sports Reference: 2019: 0.5 vs Tennessee-Martin 1.0 vs Auburn 1.0 vs South Carolina 1.0 vs Vandy 1.0 vs FSU 2020: 1.5 vs South Carolina 1.0 vs Arkansas 0.5 vs UK 1.0 vs Tennessee 1.0 vs Alabama 2021: 3.0 vs Florida Atlantic 1.0 vs Tennessee 1.0 vs UK 0.5 vs LSU 0.5 vs Samford 1.5 vs Mizzou While he did get some bloated stats (4.0 sacks) from FAU, Samford, and Tenn-Martin, he still got 12.0 sacks against the SEC and 1.0 against the ACC. |
