The old boards used to have a home for conversation that didn't warrant a new thread. Sadly we don't have that and I have a random fact that doesn't warrant it's own thread....so i made one anyways
Hack Wilson was 5'6 and hit 191 RBI in his record season.
There were 520 other players that hit at least 120 RBI in a season.
Hack Wilson was shorter than all of them.
I find it crazy in over 100 years of baseball he's the only one 5'6 or smaller that hit 120 RBI.
How did i come across this? I"m watching A League of Their Own while not being able to sleep. Tom Hanks' character is loosely based on Hack Wilson and Jimmie Foxx...and it went from there.
