TDN: NFL Roster Power Rankings - Synric - 09-08-2022

The Draft Network did film reviews of all 32 NFL Teams and did a power ranking on their rosters. The Bengals came in at #2 with a score of 27.04 out of a perfect 35 behind the Buffalo Bill's (27.75). I like that we have a separate group outside of PFF that did a film review and ranked position groups and rosters.

Here is where they talk about some of the rankings, adjust numbers, and how they came to the numbers.

This is definitely an interesting read. Thanks for posting it. I'm not anywhere near qualified to do things like this, so I always appreciate when someone puts in this kind of effort.

Bills deserve it based upon last nights game. They demolished the Rams despite a couple turnovers.

Ive said this is the best overall team on both sides of the ball I can remember going back to early 70s... looking at our schedule, anything less than 10-7 minimum one win in playoffs will be a disappointment even with a 2 to 3 significant injuries during the season

There’s some accolades that need to go somewhere. When Taylor took over a now NFL Coordinator told me it was the worst.

This, right here, is the reason why I can't believe so many people think last year was a fluke.  Those people constantly ignore the fact that the Bengals have a top 5 roster.

rankings are Fun...

But all that proves is we are better on paper. Get it Done boys.

A few quotes from the Article.

Quote:We would like to acknowledge that this is indeed a subjective exercise. Each of our scouts on staff is responsible for up to seven NFL franchises. To acknowledge this subjectivity, we did engage in a cross-check process to try to quality check the grades assigned. But at the end of the day, players were scored based on a study of the film.

Quote:It is also important to note that this is not an all-encompassing forecast for NFL teams. It does not account for coaching, nor does it account for strength of schedule, travel, or upcoming injuries.

Quote:This isn’t necessarily meant to tell you who is going to win the Super Bowl in the winter, but it is meant to tell you who has positioned themselves best to do so over the course of the offseason. This is the launch point for the NFL season ahead.
This is just a film review rankings of the players on the roster.

Rams are proving it for themselves.

RE: TDN: NFL Roster Power Rankings - fredtoast - 09-09-2022

D-line rank... 4 (after losing Ogunjobi)
DB rank.......  5
LB rank........12

Same guys as last year when our defense ranked in the bottom half of the league in points (17), yards (18), and takeaways (17) while playing the weakest schedule in the league.

Hopefully our defensive coaching staff will get their shit together this year.

We have a top five roster after replacing 60% of our offensive line.

Would you really say we are still a legitimate Super Bowl contender if we had not added Cappa, Karras, and Collins?  Seriously?
