Last year close games went our way, not this year - guyofthetiger - 09-19-2022 I think our run to the Super Bowl last year was the result of winning many close games. This year the tide has turned and we are losing the close games. That's football and luck has something to do with getting to the SB. Odds are we may win a couple, but we are not a playoff team yet this year IMO. The hype was big for our squad. Reality has finally set in. This team had a losing record in one score games during the regular season. Do some research before you post. To be fair, the game that put them over the top was the week 17 Browns game, where it was the backup bowl. Cincinnati was 4-4 in one score games outside of that, during the regular season. Now if we're at week 16 and were 0-8 in close games it would make a little more sense. Cincinnati was split in the regular season, but became much better at closing them out in the postseason. RE: Last year close games went our way, not this year - Nately120 - 09-19-2022 We will see how it goes. It's a bit "meh" hearing the "We could easily be 2-0 right now" because you can say the same thing about Baker Mayfield, Matt Rhule, and the Panthers and that is a franchise with a HC and QB who are in danger of being chucked to the curb any day now. |
