Bears LB Roquan Smith - pally - 10-31-2022

Bears 2-time all-Pro LB Roquan Smith was traded to the Ravens for 2023 2nd and 5th-round picks. Smith asked for a trade during the preseason and held out for while before agreeing to play. He is in the last year of his rookie contract after being the 8th pick in the 2018 draft Smith has 83 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and two interceptions in 8 games this season.

Hopefully, this is an expensive rental for the rest of the season and he decides to test free agency. Otherwise, he can be a pain in our offense for several years to come

A good MLB is a huge issue for the division

The part that makes the Ravens less scary is you know their D sucks ass so you’ll have a shot.

If they give Lamar an elite defense he’s winning a Super Bowl, period. If Lamar can’t win playoff games with a solid D then he isn’t the player i think he is

I’ll say the thing no one else has been willing to say, Roquan Smith has not been good this season.

Worst case scenario the Ravens get a guy who will help them win the division and then get them 3rd round comp pick back if he leaves in FA.

If it is a rental, it is less expensive as it initially seems.
