Future Neutral Championship sites a possibility - TKUHL - 01-07-2023

The game should have never been cancelled period. Everyone agrees the game shouldn’t continue but, once Buffalo flew home the game should have either been A. A forfeit or B. Resumed asap (not that evening). Remember the game was suspended, not cancelled at that time. The league in fear of seeming insensitive, cancelled or whatever decided to ignore their own rule and make this effect more teams than needed. There are many high ranking NFL personnel who think the options above should have been implemented. So why wasn’t it. Well turns out the league has been pushing for neutral championship sites for over a decade. This opens that door. The same person (Goodell) who decided not to go by his own rules will now decide what city stands to make millions!!! Nothing fishy about that. This whole situation, tragic yes but manageable couldn’t have been handled any worse. For the league to just ignore the fact that Cincy had a real shot at the #1 seed is unbelievable. Not to mention revenue loss by not resuming the game at some point and possible revenue losses by possibly not hosting any playoff games. Neutral sites should have never been an option, but since the league screwed it up this bad, why not let Cincy, Buff, KC be the neutral sites. CINCY Vs KC Would be played in Buff. Buff Vs Cincy would be played in KC and so on. At least those cities would still get some revenue. But nope, Goodell will decide which city will make millions, while increasing ticket prices to SB prices. The league just seems corrupt as shit.

They dont have to replay it, they dont have to a vote on anything crazy.  The rule is in the book on how to handle this situation.  It is incredible that they changed the rules before the playoffs.

Everything the NFL says has an expiration date. Remember when they said the Super Boel couldn’t be played in a cold weather city unless it had a dome, and the NY built a new stadium? Still haven’t seen that dome over MetLife stadium.

Actually the rule book gave them the ability to cancel the game.. it's the aftermath that bengals question especially  coin flip

Really?  The aftermath?  That is what the Bengals are questioning?  Thanks Mr. Obvious as if we haven't discussed this ad nauseam for the last 30 hours...

So actually.... I said there is guideline already in place to handle the situation with the teams participating in a cancelled game.

Well it's off the table now anyway.

Win tomorrow and none of this stuff matters much.

The only factor left is if we face have to face the bills at their house and I'm not convinced the pats can't beat them.

The Patriots are rested and fighting to get in the playoffs. The Bills are already locked in and just went through a very emotional week. That can take a big physical toll and if NE comes out firing, Bills players are going to feel the pressure, playing for their dude, and that could lead to mistakes.

Article 9 should have been followed. It's pretty loose, but game completion was feasible.

That is what I'm thinking! 2 playoff games in Cincy are still in play!
